So tonight I'm coming back from a one week hiatus of CRH. After some dud straps and rolls I decided to take a little break, but I switched it up and am going a little harder this time.
After finding a DDR 2016 Roosevelt that myself nor the CTers could match up with a documented variety I learned that I need to send 4 more with it...so the hunt is on. I've never tried to find varieties before so this is adding a new element to my search and a lot more time to it in doing so.
I'm still going to keep with the jeffersons so I don't neglect his folders, but I added $10 of LMC MWR to the mix. Unfortunately the bank is out of 2017P BU rolls, but there are some enders in there.

Yeah. I've only found 2 V nickels in 5 or so years of nickel box hunting.

 

I was just looking into that. It doesn't SEEM to have a mint mark. But it might be too worn. My instinct says no.

 

From the pic you provided their seems to be a D mintmark, which is located under the dot on the reverse between United and Cents

 

Now get the rest from the bank. If there's still some left from the same lot then there's gotta be war nickels and shield nickels and more! Don't just get 10. Get all.

 

My bank received the $500 in halves I ordered 2 weeks ago. No silver enders and $250 in I've only a 1974S impaired proof...less than stellar. Test result: I won't be ordering more than $200 at a time in the future to avoid their fees.

Ok. Perhaps it is a D. But so very worn so probably worth 5 cents or so. I'll get as many rolls marked that way as I can afford to get.

20 dollars in quarters- Nothing
20 Dollars in Dimes- Nothing
10 dollars in Nickels- 1941, 1946, 1959

 

Got 8 more nickel rolls marked that way.
Should get going through them pretty soon.

 

I started with the two CWR nickel rolls that weren't marked.
Got a 1993D better. First three marked rolls haven't had anything particularly great. No more V nickels.

 

I have found three this year plus a shield nickel.

 

Nice score! I'm still looking for a 1912.

 

First 4 boxes of halves this year. Not a bad way to get back into the game:
4-90%ers (2 Bens, 2 Kens including a Bender and Kender)
16-40%ers
3 Proofs (2011 Ender)
And an extra quarter in a roll with a 40%er
3.81oz for my first week back.

14-40%ers
5-90%ers (extra 64)
Random 72 clad that my 6 year old threw in with the silver lol. Oh well.
Now up to 3.879oz haha
