Went to the local bank to see if they had anything. One had a minted US Mint roll of 2007D Utah Qts., another had a 1964P and 1963D halfs. Nice week.

So far I got one War nickel.
I didn't take sister. Dad did.
I went to our bank because I needed quarter wrappers.
All MWR 2 quarters and 5 nickels.
Quarters gave 2 minor update 66 and 96P.
A very nice 2000D Massachusetts and a nice 2002D Louisiana.
Again, I do not collect all state quarters. But it's hard to pass up good looking ones.

A few years ago when decided to start nickel sets for my grandbabies. I picked up my first 20 dollars worth of CWR. Found a 50d. Hope that cheers you up some. Cheech

After 3 rolls of nickels:
Minor updates 63P, 64D, 78D, 84D, 04D Louisiana Purchase, 06D and 12P. Moderate to significant updates 75D and 81D.
Other 2 rolls tomorrow morning since I can't hit the bank prior to 9am. And I'll be asleep very soon.

 

Jiminy Christmas! Went to the second bank in town and got 2 CRW quarter rolls. One was entirely 1966 and the other 1967.
I was able to get pretty good examples slightly better than what I had of each. Also got two CRW dime rolls which are up next. May actually go back banking later.

 

Today I went to the bank and got 400 Halfs. I open a lucky roll and see this:

I got two boxes of pennies as well, I'll update you guys after I search through them This was my first silver find in rolls too I thought I would never find any lol I already had gone through a box or two of dimes and quarters but this was my first half dollar search. Very excited to see what the future holds

 

The dimes gave me one update. I think it was 73D but don't quote me. Didn't get out to a bank. Tomorrow starts it again.

Try posting it in the error coins section of the forum for more exposure (and the error gurus/heads can let you know what probably caused that) Neat find!

I'll be doing 5 more boxes this week. I am still waiting for that mother load in the boxes of halves. A monster Box (100 or more silvers). I have seen people get them here and my girlfriend who hunts halves with me has gotten as many as 47 silvers in a box. The most I have ever gotten is 18. So let's go monster box! Don't assume such. I have found two 50-D Jeffs while CRH. You never know.

 

I thought I was going to have to cash in my coins to put gas in the Mitsubishi to go through Houston tomorrow.
But that trip is in week. So I went to our bank because I needed nickel wrappers (and I'm a cheap bastid) and got $10 each of pennies, nickels and dimes.
Dimes: Two MWR rolls marked Loomis. Both entirely filled with 2017D. I think I have the most perfect example now.
Nickels: got a nice enough better 2006P than what I had that I erased the need. A proof or proof like 1956P (and I had a pretty nice one). Slightly better examples of 14P and 15D.
And a whole mess of pennies to go.

 

After 5 penny rolls I remember why I wasn't doing pennies.
Found a beautiful seated Lincoln. But it has a D and I need P.

And have found several 82s. Everyone of them Large date and copper.

And I've about had it for tonight.

 

rained again. what else to do? $20 nickels... 1952d,1955d,1959d and generally not too good. But... jackpot! 3 war nickels 42p,44p,44s. and all 3 are better than crap! unlike the 6 that I've already found this year.

 

Found some 40%ers this week nothing earth shattering, but thought these were the most interesting, two silver coins from the Republic of Liberia with James Madison and George W Bush and a 90% 1996s.

First question. Can anyone tell me why 86 is a tough penny to find. 85 and 87 no problem. But all these mid 80s seem to be struck different. My 86P is dished on the obverse and the reverse is ugly.

I had to go to town this morning. So I took the dimes, nickels and 7 pennies and traded. I told her the dime rolls were all 2017D and I hoped she'd see if I didn't get that again....
And I did. ALL 2017D. I'm about pennied out. A better 1986P gets me from 2017P back to 1958D.
