Brought home 20 rolls of pennies from Loomis.
One roll down. 2x 1983D one with road rashed.
A 1970D which replaced the one I had.
    Likewise a 1971D. Also a 1978D. And a 1994D.
Kept, but not replacing what I had...
    84P, 94D, 96D, 2001P, 2002D and 2005D.
All were as if just from the mint.
Getting ready to open roll number 2.

Roll 3 was all zinc except for 71D, 73D, 75D, 77D and 80D. Didn't find any of these better than what I have.
Roll 4 was all zinc except a 64P which replaced the one I had, 71D, 73D, 80P and 82D copper large date.

Are you Just looking for years for your book? Or are you error searching as well?

Looking for what I can see. Not sure I'd know a dd or die break if I saw one.

Roll 5 had no obvious errors.
    A 64D, 73D, 77D, 2x 79P, 2x 80P, and an 83P.
None of which was any better than I had, but kept the 83 as a matter of course.

    Roll 6. No glaring problems.
A 68D which was an upgrade for me.
    71S which I'll keep, 73D, 77D, 2x 82D copper large date and an 83D.

Stumbled upon 9 rolls of someones copper dump. 22 wheats total (one roll had 8 wheats, which is a new personal best). Mainly common date 40s and 50s, with the oldest being 1937.
The best of the lot is a 1955 with plenty of remaining luster... It'll be an upgrade for the folder...

Stopped at a bank on my way home despite the fact I know one of the tellers is a big-time silver sniper. She wasn't working. The teller I chose had $9 in loose halves, and as she was counting them I saw a silver edge. I asked if there were any halves in the vault and she brought out the 3 rolls they had and I also bought them.

This teller told me about how her husband collects old coins and hoards them in his safe. Then she proceeded to again count out the loose halves to me. I expected her to hold back the single silver coin this time, but she didn't, phew!

All the other tellers were busy or I would have also hit them up...I'll have to wait until next time.

Turned out the single silver in the loose coins was a '66, and the rolls were filled with junk. No doubt the sniper had already removed any silver from the rolls.

No matter, I'm satisfied with the '66 :)

    HH everyone!

I'm awful sore from what I did yesterday.
If I can get out of this comfy chair and get in there where the coins are I'll go through some more rolls.

    Roll 9. No huge surprises.
    This slight interesting 2012
    2017-04-27 08.20.27.jpg
The upper left of the shield. has some bumps of extra metal including one that grows up about 25% from the center. The camera in the phone has a tough time showing anything.

Also found (none worth keeping except 82)
    66P, 72D, 75D, 80P, 81D, 82D&P copper large date and an 81 Canada penny.

    Roll 10 hilights.
A 1985D with what appears to be a minor rim cud with one end at the last T in Trust and going 1/4 to 5/16 towards the right. Not going to even try a picture.
    1959P upgrade, another beat up 59P, 72P, 75D, 77D, 78D upgrade, 79D, 2x 80D and 81P.

    Dude seriously.

You're ruining this thread with this roll by roll nonsense.

I'm all for enthusiasm, but please try to limit yourself to a couple of posts about your finds. Please!

I usually only post once a week or two about my roll hunting. You know like the summary of my last 3 boxes. That keeps the thread light and fun.

    Thank you.
