Thanks... I had been in a nickel slump of late, particularly with War Nickels... broke out in a big way!

    The 1939-D was only the tip of the iceberg with this past Saturday's coins.... 7,560 coins searched total produced 97 pre-60s including 2 Buffalo nickels, 9 War Nickels, 13 2009-Ds, along with a 1942-D and 1949-S... The roll which had the 42-D had 18 pre-60s in it... 1939-d 34 buff dateless buff 42s 42s 43p 43s 44p 45p 45p 45p 45s wars 04-15-17 ed.jpg

This is from a bucket and two previously searched rolls.
My phone doesn't take great pics.

There are a few MARVELOUSLY toned in here. a bunch of 82D (almost certainly all copper). Some very clean late 90s early 00s coins. One road rashed shield back. A couple wheats. Etc.

Thanks! I drooled over that one too, though I have to admit when I flipped it over I was hoping it had the word "CENTS" on it since those are worth more... And when I found the 28-S Buffalo, it was also "obverse first"... was hoping it had a mint mark and it sure did! Same with the 39-D.

Ran out of penny size flips. These are pretty close to ready for a flip.

Four nickel eighteen penny ought to yield something.

Friend brought me two rolls of pennies he rolled. Got a 43' Steel in about (as worse a condition as you could image) good, and a 52' Not to bad out of two rolls! Nothing else to really speak of but some shiny Shields...

Out of all but two rolls of pennies got me a 58D, 2 70S, 71S, zinc 82P small date and zinc 82D large date.
Also plenty of awfully clean 2004 up to 2016.
    And plenty of beautiful tinted 70s 80s 90s 20s

The nickels yielded an honestly worn and tinted 1961
    A 67P, a tinted almost black 2016D, a 64 and 67 both P.
    A 64D. A nice Bison rear 2005. A nice Lewis and Clark 04D. A very nice 04P also Lewis and Clark. A worn 64P.
And some clean 2012 to 2016.

Came across your post from last year and just wondering how the albums are filling. I have a stash of cents and nickels begging to go in the folders as I go along. May start plugging in soon to see how it fares. It really does break things up, and so fun!

Thanks for the great tip! Sounds like halves are huge for fundraisers, so if you ever get a nitpicking teller, tell them it's for a golf tournament! I'll have to look out for events...give back and might be surprised too!

How come? The flips are worth more than those coins. I only see 4 coins worth saving out of that group - the 3 copper coins and the 2009-D.

As I look at them more several will likely get culled.
But it's perhaps a flaw in my character, but in flips no more fingerprints etc.

By the way. My Dad brought a handful of pennies to me while I was roll searching. Two 2017D were in that bunch.

I like cents too, but if he's keeping all of those, I want to know what he's returning - I would guess not much!

Let me know if you still need a bicentennial half. I can look and see what I have.
