Well I do know its a key date after I looked it up. I still have my doubts.

Heres the five centavos. I think it is pretty neat. It also has great detail and little wear for its age.

2 boxes of dimes and both skunks. Thats 4 weeks and 8 boxes of nothing. I looked through another box of nickels today. It only had a 1937 buffalo nickel in good shape.

Anyone have any ideas on what this is?

    Maybe this?

That person links to an old eBay listing that doesn't have pictures anymore but sounds like the thing you found.

Dimes (and quarters) can be extremely frustrating... I actively look for 2009 dimes, and they're just not out there... That Buff is a nice one... much better than the 2 37's I've found.

I take care of my tellers. Today I brought in home made Italian food for all of the tellers and managers included. I hope they like it.

I picked up just short of 5 boxes of halves Tuesday and finished sorting them yesterday...I was pleasantly surprised. Last year the 26 boxes I sorted from this area held only 11, 40%ers and some NIFC:

    Box 1: 4, 40%ers, couple NIFC
    Box 2: couple NIFC
    Box 3: 1, 40%er
    Box 4: 3, 90%ers and 3, 40%ers

    The 90's were 1952 and 1963 Franklins, and 1, 1964 JFK.

I also found a 1973 50 pence, which was my first.

There were only about 25 different marks on the coins from other CRHers, with far fewer marked coins than I usually see.

    I'm very pleased!

Sorry, but I cannot get the photo of my finds to upload.

So much for the fun part of this hobby...The not so fun part (depositing the coins) happens today.

    HH

Well I'm not sure what to think of this. I was returning coins and a teller said they had saved something for me. It is a 1928 50 dollar bill.

Yeah that's a cool find. 2nd series of small notes I think... could be wrong.
Not sure of values but it's a keeper.
About 80 years too late to redeem in gold though.

It is a keeper. I was shocked you could redeem it for gold in that time frame. I thought it was only for gold certificates.

I would but you can not really see any thing.

I found this a while back. It looks like a spitting horse. If it is I have found a few this year.
