I keep my dateless ones, a coin store I go to will buy them for 7 cents, so its something at least.

$500 in halves, nothing but dirty paws.
    $100 in nickels:
    2 40s S mints
    4 40s
    $25 in cents:
    11 40s and 50s wheats
1 1943 GVI cent from Canada

And the joy of finding a 1945 Washer when I deposited them back into the coin machine at my Credit Union.

What do you estimate the 1945 Washer grades?

Prolly fine or so. Just like having 70 year old silver babies.

Today's bag of nickels yielded these. Also got 23 pre-1956 nickels, not a bad bag, the buffalo is better condition than I normally find. IMG_20151117_130917_510.jpg IMG_20151117_131007_212.jpg

But the third child results in far more work for mom and dad because the parent:chid ratio is no longer 1:1...makes finding time for CRHing a challenge!

Two boxes halves: 5- proofs (1973S, 1981S, 1983S, 1984S, 2005S); 3-1987D; and 93- NIFC (mostly 2010-D and 2010-P). And a gold coated 1983P stamped 1960 and 1980 on either side of Kennedy's head at the chin/neck. Anybody know what that one signifies? Two weird boxes!

Another day with halves, only $10 CWR worth but...

    2 1969-D

More nickels, these are $100 in BWR
    2 1939
    1 1939-S
    11 40s
    1 Mexican Peso 2007

Cashed in the coins at my credit union and churned out the following from the reject slot:

Canada 85 cents, ie three 25c coins and a 10c coin
    Cayman Islands 25 cents 1990
    some game token...

And a 1947 silver Roosevelt dime.

Finished off a box last night that had 16 wheaties including a 19, 25, 29D, and 35S. Also found this neat strike through.

It's not every day you find this in a roll of halves:

Ok am I the only one with horrible luck on nickels? 4 boxes and no war nickels. I really don't even like searching nickels but now I just want one so it's all I bought for my weekend CRHing. I've found 6 buffalo's (I know...Crazy...5 were in the first box) and I just found a couple 40's dates in near ms condition.

It's driving me nuts though. I just need one so I'll have one now. Once I get it I'm going back to dimes n halves only.

Anybody else having same bad luck?

I usually get at least 1 War nickel per box; probably a little bit less, but it seems to average out to that.

I go through little droughts, then I will get some box that has 3-4 of them.

Searched $60 in CWR 5c this morning:

    1 Dateless buffalo
    1 1939
    6 40s dates

Have another $45 in CWR cents for later.

Two boxes halves: three proofs-1992-S, 1994-S, 1995-S; ten NIFC.

NumisRookie it seems to me that you're actually having *very* good luck. Buffalos are harder to find box hunting than war nickels. I've been through a lot of boxes in the past 2 years... also finding mint condition 40s coins is rarer still. Stick with it. :)

I had a slow week, didn't do much hunting, just a box of pennies, box of nickels, $100 in BWR quarters, and $50 in customer rolls (various)....

... but had a nice finish! Found 3 proof coins!!! Well circulated, but slot fillers! 1981-S Quarter (from a Loomis roll), 1981-S nickel (customer roll), 1999-S nickel (Loomis roll).

    I know!

Someone in my area must have dumped a 1981 proof set. I haven't found the dime or penny though. No proof dimes in my collection yet.
