$40 Nickels: 17 pre-1960 keepers, including this 1939. At first I thought it was a double denomination - but after a bit of looking, it appears that the dime it "struck" was a Roosevelt instead of a Merc that would have been in use in '39.

    $50 Dimes: Skunk

    $25 Cents: 504 coppers, 12 wheats of 40s-50s vintage

That is just post mint damage.

Likely a vice squish of a dime on a nickel. The dime's devices are mirrored and incuse on the nickel's surface as opposed to relief that would occur during Mint striking.

Agreed. It was the first real "oddity" I've picked up in two years of roll hunting. Took me a bit to really figure out what I was looking at! It's in the bin marked "weird stuff people do to coins."

Question - has anyone had any luck with rolls of 2009 cents--error hunting Lincoln's Formative years-LP2. There are several reported errors, especially a 6th finger bon Lincoln as he reads a book.
Anyone go thru a Box ????

Close to Canada, they visit often.

Also, that dateless buff above turned out to be a 1914.

$80 CWR Nickels: 23 pre-1960 keepers, skunked on sliver

$25 BWR Cents: 14 common wheats, 604 coppers, and one 1932 Canadian cent. Circulated, but still a nice looking coin, IMO.

Dimes are a killer for me. They are so small it strains my aged eyes. Went thru one box and said"nada again"

I'm staying with my cousins in NY for a while. Today i decided to go to some banks (they are so close together so its easy).
First bank had 15 dollar coins (nothing special) and a half dollar (nothing special)
Second bank had $10 in halves. $7.5 dollars in 40% silver halves!!!

I stopped by like 6 or 7 banks today. Only 2 had any halves at all and no silver.
