I went to the bank yesterday and someone deposited 200 dollars in halves. I only had 35 dollars because i was only going for a box of pennies, and they had none. So i got 30 dollars in halves, nothing interesting there.

I know the suspense is killing me! I probably wont be able to get there before they are gone, but the next chance I get i'll be there.
I went to a couple banks while my mom was getting her nails done.

    $25 BWR Cents: 9 wheats (mostly 50s vintage) and 530 pre-83 coppers.

Have a fresh box of cents I haven't cracked open yet so we'll see what's in there assuming we end up getting rained out at least one day of the long weekend.

Tried to swap a box of nickels in yesterday, but the bank only had boxes I'd already searched. Well I was bummed, but I dutiifully asked to buy all of their customer rolls. Bought $392 in coins, mostly dollar rolls and dimes, with 3 rolls of quarters.

One of the quarter rolls had a 1959 silver quarter and one of the dime rolls had a 1963 Canadian silver dime. :)

I also found a 2003-D Sacagewea and a 2007-D Sacagewea, both are nifc! Sweet.

But perhaps the best part was the quality of many 70's dimes. Some are practically new. Gonna have to check a lot of them against my book. Nice upgrades!

    $6 BWR Nickels: 50 yen
    $74 CWR Nickels: 1943-P plus 13 pre-1960 "keepers"

The best part was the quarter and two dimes that "my" teller saved for me and passed across the counter. I guess I'm easy to please, because $.45 really made my day. Hard to beat silver at face value.

I've also got "fresh" box of cents I'm told I can't crack open until after this afternoon's festivities. Happy Independence Day for those of you celebrating today!

In 2007 I went to the bank and asked the bank manager to order me 2 boxes of the new $1 presidential coins each box was $1000 out of the 2 boxes I found 385 coins that had no lettering on the edge so I picked out the best and sent 200 off to PCGS the worse grade I got was ms64 and the best was ms67 all the other coins I did not grade went on eBay each uncirculated coin brought $100 to $150 this was one of the best purchases I ever made and it will never happen again. Made close to $50,000 on $2000 worth of coins

I guess this kind of counts as roll searching... My Uncle owns his own buisness and right next door is a 7/11. He usually goes and gets something in the morning and then at home he puts the stuff in a bin. Ive been looking through the bin for a couple of months now (after im done searching i dump it into a bigger bin which will go to the bank) and yesterday i found a 1944 silver quarter. I still haven't found one myself yet but this is the next best thing.

Went to get a box of pennies; teller called me over said someone had dropped some halves off.

    14 40%
    2 90%

Not too shabby. HOWEVER, the teller I order halves through told me that Brinks is beginning to go through the boxes beforehand and pull silver; the Brinks driver told him. It makes sense, because every time I've gotten a box from this bank I've been skunked. Anyone heard anything about this?

I know what i want to do when i grow up!!! Hopefully none of my banks decide to sift through silver... Its just so exciting when you hear the chime of silver hitting the desk or see the solid edge of it!!!
