Went to 5 banks to day in search of halves or dollar coins.
2 were closed (I didn't know banks closed at 3)
    No halves
    2 dollar coins (2001, 2001D)
    Very dissatisfied :(

I get two boxes of halves and a box of nickels every week from my main bank. Lately the halves have been pretty weak...only three 40% in the past six boxes. Even the NIFC's have been bunged up. Two of the past three nickel boxes have been all 2015-D. I will save one of the boxes...I don't know why. On a whim I went to my backup bank and asked for halves. They had a box! The teller fetched it for me and immediately started apologizing because it had been taped at one corner. She mentioned the driver had been a bit agressive. I said I didn't care as long as all the coins were still inside. Results of the box:
    3 1964's
    7 40%
    2000 S proof
My best half box in a long time.

In the process of returning bagged halves and nickels to the bank I noticed a customer at the next teller window exchanging some old currency. The tellers know I'll take weird stuff so after he left they called me over and asked me if I wanted what he just brought in.
(Of course I did.) He just unloaded 37 $1 Silver certificates and a red seal $2. The SC's were evenly split between 1957 and 1935...most were pretty worn, but a few were xf or better.
Not coin roll finds but it happened during the process.

Thanks! Sorry that you don't have as much luck, but I'm sure your luck will turn around! I found the break down. Loomis had 12 wheats and Brinks had 23. My banks just switched to brinks and I'm ecstatic because they are so much more lucrative.

Went to deposit some cheques in my credit union during a break from work on Friday. Asked if they had anything kewl, but nothing foreign, nothing wheat, nothing Ike dollars, but they did have $7 face in half dollars:

    3 1964
    2 1966
    6 1967
    1 1968
    1 1969
My crummy day at work was brightened with a silver lining at my credit union.

Went through $200 in halves today......ended up with a 1967, 1969 and the best one was a 1941 walker. The Walker was in the first roll and I thought that this was going to be a very good day! Also found a 1976 S proof (clad) and a 2005 D. Not bad for 400 coins!

As I went to pick up my regular order of two boxes of halves and one nickel the teller looked at me and apologized...she had accidentally ordered three boxes of halves (like I was going to be upset). I dug a little deeper into the left pocket and found the Benjamins.
    Box 1: No silver, 1987-D (2), 1987-P (2), 2014-P, 2009-D.
    Box 2: 1967, 1969-D, 1996-S Proof, stunning 1989-P.
    Box 3: 1969-D.

Many NIFC but NGETK (Not Good Enough To Keep).

Nickel box: My first Indian Head, even has a date---1917-P. Also a 1945-D.

    Final post this week.
    One box of Loomis cents:
264 coppers of which 18 were wheats, the most unexpected of which was a 1920-P in G4.
Does anybody else get nasal congestion and/or a runny nose when going through coins?
    I'm considering wearing a mask.

On Monday I went through a box of nickels and 23 rolls of Loomis wrapped dimes. Tuesday I went through a second box of nickels.

    Nickels: found two 2009-P, one 2009-D, 25 1950s coins, 31 1940s coins, four 1939-Ps, and a 1936-D Buffalo. Three of them were 1940-S, one 1946-S, one 1952-S. Silver nickels found: 1943-P, 1944-P. Best nickel boxes I've seen in a while! :)

Dimes: found one 2009-P and a crusty silver 1946.

Finding a buffalo nickel and a silver dime in the same day = priceless!

Went through two $500 boxes of quarters yesterday. No silver but found these interesting Homestead quarters while looking for the DDRs and what appears to be one circulated proof clad 1984-S quarter.
