Nice finds Lincolnhoardr! Where do you get your coins from that they come bagged? Every bank that has ordered me halves has gotten boxes.

Way to go Andy. I haven't given up the search, but I bought a '98 WAM. I had thought Texas was dry for those P mint coins glad to see it's not.

My bank offers a free coin machine for members and it sorts them into bags. They usually have 1 half dollar bag a week for me

Searched 22 dollars of hand rolled and loose halves from 2 banks......

    nada.

However, when I later went to Taco Bell and paid with the halves, the young man asked the manager if they were able to take "these things." She laughed and told him they were half dollars. LOL

Got a box of halves today and found 32 40%, 6x 1964, 1x 1959D, and 1x 1946S. Never realized there was still so much silver out there until I came across this forum.

That doesn't happen often (to me anyways). If you are finding alot of silver keep on searchin'. if you aren't finding any, keep on searchin'. Congrats!

Thanks... it kind of surprised me as up until this point I had found a grand total of 3 silver coins in circulation.

Really? I guess location matters a lot then. I'm near Philadelphia so there's probably tons of old rolls around here just waiting to be searched. The box I got them in looked new but the wrappers were starting to peel. And thanks too.

Which wrappers were they, Brinks or String and Sons?

And by the way, I've searched 25 boxes and have had three huge boxes like yours, a few medium boxes and lots of boxes in which I was shut out. Keep going, finding silver is such fun!!!

A customer brought in 20 1964 kennedy unc. and one 1969 kennedy. I only paid face value which is not bad at all! Also a 1941 mercury dime. Good day at work! :)

"not bad at all?" Turning a $10 investment into $120 worth of silver and you say "not bad at all?" What would be good, great, or awesome? LOL

Searched a box of Halves: NADA
3 rolls of cents: One log cabin
    2 rolls of dimes: NADA

But, did find a 66 Kennedy at the bank.....

    Back at it today....

While going through my usual $ 20 in nickels, I found an AU 1938 Jefferson.
Finding gems like this keep this interesting.
