I've done $17,376 worth. I've found 2 43d's in that time. I've not been searching nickels much lately since the returns have been crap. Perhaps I'll just keep off them until after the holidays with the hopes that more get dumped.

Sometimes you need to take a break. I take one about once a month where I go a week without searching. A time to keep the paws clean - roll searching is a pretty filthy business.

Great finds yesterday! one of the tellers at UMB saved back some older looking CWRs that someone deposited:
    $80 CWR quarters- 1945, 1951, 1963, 1964D, dateless stander
    $45 CWR dimes - 1943, 2x 1945, 1953, 1964, 1964D
    $12 CWR nickels - several pre-1960, 2x dateless buffalo
    $3.50 CWR cents- 19 wheats, a few nicer looking 1959's and 1960's
    $4.50 loose halves- 1964, 1966, 3x 1967, 2x 1968
    $3 loose Ikes- all 1972

    Total Silver: $2.35 in 90%, $3 in 40%

looks like someone dumped their old coins :D

    Another box of pennies...

The box was split approximately 64% Copper-Plated Zinc/36% Copper Alloy.

    5 Canadian Cents:
    • 1973
    • 1974
    • 1976
    • 1984
    • 1998
    5 Wheat Cents:
    • 1920-P (the oldest wheat I've found)
    • 1940-P
    • 1953-P
    • 1955-D x2
This was the best find of the box...the reddest wheat I've found:

Yesterday I searched two rolls of pennies. Found four wheats. Two in each roll. Today I searched two rolls of pennies. Nothing.

Bag of nickels from my CU's coin counter:
    1 War(45p), 7 Canadian, 4 pre-60 keepers.

I didn't really want to do them but I took them off their hands anyways. Nickels are killing me lately.

Haven't searched a box in a while so I picked one up today. Not too bad for wheats, also found a 1983 die clash and a 2000 WAM.
