That's crazy. I thought finding 74 wheats out of a single box was insane.

    2 boxes of halves today, Box #1 - 3 - 40%, Box #2 - 2 - 40%.

Unfortunately, these are the last boxes I will be getting from this particular bank. I was informed today that there would be a 5% (that's $50 per $1000) fee on future coin orders. I'll be closing my account there next week. I think it could mean a couple of things. Perhaps this bank is getting desperate for revenue, or perhaps, it's too much work for the new coin manager (who weighs enough to make 2 coin managers). I think it's probably the latter.

They have been being upcharged by the armoured car companies for the coin orders - it is the reason the most of the coins I search come from non-bank financial institutions - ie the friendly local credit unions that have coin machines or take in all rolled coin from businesses in deposits. Of course I don't find many halves - except that the tellers end up with the 90 and 40% stuff the machine rejected - and I get them.

Found my first silver quarter roll hunting today (the only other silver quarter I've found in circulation was from a coinstar). Also found my first foreign in a quarter roll, a 1966 Romanian 1 Leu. Both were from CWR.

No. They just liked fighting back in the day. They were constantly at war with other clans. They really loved to fight.

Went to the bank yesterday and asked if they had any half dollars. The teller stated that they just got $200 in Kennedy Half Dollars from a lady that closed her safety deposit box. I bought all them. Wow!!! Plenty of 1964-1968 halves. Some are in Excellent condition. Will get pictures later today. Some of them are early 70s but nothing later after 71 I believe.

I spent a half day visiting banks today and found 24 forty percenters, three 64's and three Franklins (48d, 52d and 58d). That's over five ounces and I found five ounces yesterday too (but no Franklins).

Wow. You've had a great streak. This reminds me of the time I found 15 silver dimes at work in a week then a little later I found 9 in one night.

I can't get halves at the bank unless I buy an entire box, which I can't afford.

i ask the tellers to save me any that come in. back before the 2011 silver spike they would order a box every week with all the other coins, and actually use them (if you withdrew $10.75 you would get a ten, a half, and a quarter instead of a ten and 3 quarters)
now none of the banks nearby will order me boxes :/
