Shwiiiinggg...Amazing, congrats! You'll find another place to deposit your halves. There are countless banks and credit unions who will accept your Cu-Ni clad halves, turn them into elecronic money, and electronically invest them like so many other fools.;)

Found a mean half in a bank roll today. Never seen a super worn 76...must have been someone's pocket piece. Will make a cool lowball coin!

Also got 10.00 in nickels and filled a hole in my dansco crw book...1945P

Is that silver? I've never seen a cupronickel half wear that way.

I think it's the non silver version. Haven't paid it much attention yet other than setting it aside.

Hello, I just came back from a vacation in Florida. Last time I was there I had a couple of nice finds. I went out and picked up $25.00 worth of cents. The first $15.00 worth were from a bank. All 1500 coins were copper. Most of them were in rolls by date. Mostly early 1960's with some of the mixed rolls having a few wheat cents. The other $10.00 worth ran about 30% coppers with the best finds being an AU 1955-S, 1910 & 1919 both P mint. I have not looked for errors or varieties and will probably just sell them as they are rolled. It was a lot of fun and I plan to do every time I visit the beautiful state of Florida.

Went to the credit union today just to deposit a check and glanced at the teller's coin tray. I saw some white at the bottom of her dime slot. I nonchalantly asked about them. She said they were silver and she put a them on the bottom whenever she gets some. I had my 7 year old kid with me, so I slyly said my kid likes to collect silver coins and wondered if I could buy them. She easily handed over 3 silver Roosies. She said one had been sitting there for over 6 months, so now I know no one else is going there pickin'. I think i will visit more often...
