    It's been a lucky week. I found a 1947 dime at the school cafeteria yesterday. Today, I found 6 pre 60s in 10 nickel rolls, a 1956 d penny, and...A 1958 d DIME!!!

Yep, MWR = machine-wrapped roll. Many banks do not really roll their own coin, instead Federal Reserve coin vaults like Axiom (where I live) do it, so I like to use the term MWR rather than BWR.

    Cheers, and happy hunting!

I like shiny objects, including coins, so I admit sometimes I fall prey to "Magpie Syndrome" as my daughter calls it :shame:

Truth be known, I am putting together 1938-through-present-day Jefferson nickel collection booklets for each of my 3 kids. I put the better coins in them I find while CRH-ing despite the fact the majority of the coins are worth only $0.05.

Haven't posted or done any CRH in a quite a while. My energies are going toward other pursuits and I don't have the time. But I am expecting a box of $100 in copper pennies from a fellow roll hunter I know. So score a $100 in copper for the stack.

One of the tellers I deal with frequently at my primary CU asked me today if I was interested in halves. I told her, sure I was - assuming that she had a handful in her drawer. She smiled politely and hoisted a full plastic roll tray up from beneath the counter and then putting its partially full companion next to it.

$510 in CWR halves = skunked for silver. NIFC finds were: 2002-D and 2005-D in reasonable but not BU/AU condition and a 2008-P that was really dinged up but I kept just to have one more coin to show for the effort.

I'll be making an unscheduled stop at my dump bank tomorrow I guess. Happy hunting!

$40 in CWR nickels last night yielded nothing of note other than a couple AU's of common dates for my kids' coin booklets. I'm going on vacation for 1 week tonight, so you all will need to pick up my slack while I am away

    Happy hunting!
