Been a while since I've stopped by here. I'm glad to see the thread still going, and that people are still finding keepers.

I just finished the last bag if Ike's that I got. I ended up with 2 1972 T-2, 2 1971 d Fevs, 6 different Peg Legs from various years, and 1 that is off center, but not sure if it is enough to be significant. Hopefully they will have another bag soon.

    Merry Christmas.

FINALLY something to report here out of Chico, Ca. I know I have been extremely dormant for the last few months... but got a sweet hit today and wanted to share!

Wife called me on my lunch break and we are talking about our day so far. I brought up that I needed to do some laundry tonight as I was zeroed on socks and running low on other things like work shirts. She says me to "Lemme check my wallet and see how many quarters I have" and she counted and had 7. We need 8 to make a full wash and dry happen, so I told her I will get the 8th quarter, plus another $2 worth.

I run across the street from my work to the Valero gas station, buy a soda and ask for $2 in quarters as part of my change. The cashier (and also the owner of that station.) hands me my $3.40 in change, $2 of it being in quarters as I asked. As the quarters lay in the palm of my hand in heap I notice one was well worn and white-ish in color. It was upside down and I stifled my excitement. "Whoa! A 1963! Yes!!" I thought to my self. I get out the door, check the quarter and find it was, in actuality, a 1936 plain! Wooo!

Also, not sure if I shared this or not, but about 2 months ago I came across a 1964 dime in change when I was getting a money order for rent at the grocery store. Not too bad if I do say so myself!

P.s. This is extra sweet for me because about 6 months ago or so I lost MOST of my silver coin collection... it was necessity as my wife lost her job (her client died, her agency had no where else to send her.), we had no real savings, and we needed to get food and gas and what not as my income is enough to pay rent and utilities but not the extras. I managed to keep everything that wasn't silver AND my prized 1957-S and 1932-D Washington quarter (It is P-4 at best... but it is a 32-D!) but a lot of what my grandmother and father in law gave me as gifts had to get cashed in =(

nice story. it's sad to hear you had to sell coins to make ends meet. been there done that. it's so refreshing to know that you can pick coins up anytime. yes some coins might take 10-15 years to get back. this is such a addictive hobby. i love it. i am a coin junky lol.

I'm in CRH withdrawal. It's been 3 weeks since searching my last box of coins. I feel like I am missing out on something. :)

I am now on Christmas Break so I need to check out the last 2 local banks to see if they will let me pick up a box or two each week. If not, I have to drive 30 mins to the next bank. Regardless, it would be worth it.

Hey, I have a question for those who use this site. How do I upload pictures to my posts? I click "Image" then it pops up a box that says "Image URL:_________". Then what?

I use imageshack. I upload the picture to there then it gives me an IMG link that I put directly into my post.

    first rolls in a while:
2x boxes of pennies: 24 wheaties, 5 canadian, 1 blank planchet.
200 dollars CWR halves: skunk, already searched, can tell by markings on box and rolls.
box of nickles: opened a couple and can tell by the ends and the rims (plastic rolls) that there are only one or two coins in each not brand new. should I open them???
