    Finished 4 boxes of nickels.
Only 2 boxes had wars but I ended up with 4 over all including a real nice AU 44P....and.....a crappy looking 43D! That leaves me with just 2 holes left.
    Also in the boxes were 3 09d's, 2 09p's, 6 canadians, and about 15 pre-60 keepers.

Maybe it's beginners luck. I've found about a roll of 1987's this year. There are, surprisingly, a lot, and I mean a lot, of 2002 and newer halves out there in my area. I've often wondered about this. Sometimes, I'll find 2 or more rolls in a box. I've found whole customer wrapped rolls of them from teller drawers. Maybe there's a roll hunter out there who buys them from the mint and then replaces the silver from the boxes with them? Maybe it's kids out there spending their birthday keepsakes? It could be people who buy them from the mint and then discover that there's no real ROI on them, so they just spend them? I don't know for sure.

When I first started roll hunting I was finding alot of newer coins 200-2008 Never found a 87 or 97 what ever the hard year is. I believe they were coming from Rochester, or Buffalo NY Then it kinda dropped off and I was getting alot of nice 70 coins. I figured a bussiness was getting them and distributing them for something.

jun21 065.jpg jun21 065.jpg got $100 in dimes and check this out......my girlfriend Jenny goes can I open 2 rolls ??? I said sure.... I like getting her involved with it. I usually get her a $25 box of pennies to search for her wheaties. so on her 2nd roll she goes look at that white egde...so I grab it and sure enough it is a 1963 silver Rossie dime. and the rest of my rolls were all skunks. ugh. I was happy with 1 dime. hey it's better than no silver dimes right. yup.

Stopped by the bank that's good about feeding me nickels and they offered up a box of halves "if I wanted it." Guess I know what I'll be doing this afternoon. :)

it is showing the "blakesley effect" or where someone had it held down????? Whats the best way to find out for sure? I just can not believe either way that someone did not notice this before and snatch it up?

Well, that was a skunk. Better get cracking on my nickels and see if I have any luck at all today. The only thing even remotely interesting is a '74 clad that looks like someone tried to take a bite out of it.

With this lovely weather we've been having I went and got a box of pennies, and I was able to pull out 13 Wheaties, and my first WAM! 1998 Wide AM! Not the 1992-D I was hoping for, but still my first variety I've found.
