1971 DDO die#1 WDDO-001 <--- its a little rough but still a cool find

 

Update: I just cashed in the remainder of my dimes at a local bank. It came back at $500 even...so my two roosies didn't cost me $0.10 each...they were free.

 

2 more boxes of halves - Skunk. ~$6 in NIFC. These are from the bank that I pay $4 a box at. This was my 25th and 26th box from that bank, so I've paid $100+ to them this year ordering boxes, but they do have that nice coin machine.

 

One box of nickels - 36, 40-D, 41-D, 2x43-P, 43-D, 45-P , 46-D, 2x51, & 57.

Four war nicks in a box is a new best for me.

 

I have not done any roll hunting in a while but the other day my wife (a bank teller) got a roll of halves from the teller next to her. 4 -90% and 16-40%. The guy in the back heard the sweet sound of silver came out to get it, She gave him 2- 90% and brought the rest home. Sweet find from a sweet wife.

Picked up $360 in nickels and $40 dimes today. Dimes gave me a 64.
Nickels gave me: 1 War - 45p, a nice 39s, 5-09P and 3-09D, 17 Canadians, I bermuda, 1 nickel with what looks like either a phone number or SSN etched in the reverse, and.....................FINALLY, after $9460 in nickels -- MY FIRST V NICKEL 1904.

 

$20 in nickels and $30 in dimes today-- the nickels were all 2013D, but i found 32 silvers in the dimes! 5 rolls were customer wrapped in old "Steel Strong Tubular" rolls from the '70s. the newest dime in any of those rolls was 1988-P.

 

2 boxes of halves - 1 40%, $1 in NIFC, and one 1987. I also tried my first box of nickels. Took 1 Hour ten minutes to sort, and all I got was 1 5 centisimos from the replublic de panama. No indian heads or war or anything else.

 

Welcome to nickels Sometimes I get a lot and sometimes I crap out. I guess that's just CRH regardless of denomination.

Happy Thanksgiving fellow crh searchers, 4 boxes of halves no silver but doesnt mean i didnt find any keepers,,1974d double dies, rare finds a 1974d maybe strike through grease, two clad proofs the 1977s was one i needed for my collection , 1984p double stamped 1960-1980 and real shinny coated with something,,,best of luck on your searches.......

 

I have two coins, one 1983 and 1984 that are punched like you described. I'm not sure what the coating is, I think it might be a low content gold alloy. I held them out and put them in the tube labeled "odd." It would be interesting to know where they came from if you come across anything.

 

Box of dimes - 51, 64

 

Grabbed $300 dimes this morning. Gave me a 63d Roosie, 9 Canadians, and one Panamanian dime.
