Box of Nickels: 31 pre1960, 1938, 1946S...nothing very special. Nickels have been ho-hum lately.

In all the boxes of nickels I have searched I have only found 1 1938 nickel.

Box of Halves: Skunk for Silver and I found a nasty looking 1987S. However, I can't complain because it's a hole-filler.

I believe that's the only S-mint half dollar that has a higher mintage than the P and D coin of the same year.

 

I haven't be posting many finds lately, not much to post. I had a major find today. My BEST ever.

30 cwr of halves... 20 90% (18 kens and 2 walkers) and 150 40%.

I picked up 5 rolls and went on my way. I decided to check the rolls when I had stopped down the road a bit. Of the 5 there was a solid roll and others had multiple silvers in them. Of course, I turned around to see if there were more rolls. Yes there was, 25 more. All but 2 had silver in them. My best find ever.

 

WOW! Congrats! Almost 30 ozs of silver. Nice work!

 

2 Boxes of nickels last night. First box gave me a 1926 Buf and 2nd box gave me a 44p War. 5 1939's but no "D". The hunt continues...

Sorted through my second box of pennies over the weekend and found:

1941, 1942, 1949, 1951, 1951-D, 1952-D, 1956-D, 1959 (3), 1959-D (3), 1981 Canadian, and 580 assorted pre-1983 copper cents.

Also went through 2 CWR of nickels and don't have anything other than two more rolls of nickels on the stack to show for it. I guess even money still makes it better than most hobbies!

 

Box of Nickels: 12 pre1960 (my lowest ever!), 1997 Singapore 20 cent piece, 3xCND (1985, 1989, 1995). Nothing special.

I ordered my first ever box of Dollar coins for next week. I'm mostly looking to fill holes in my collection but anything special that I should keep my eye out for? I know to look for proofs and Presidential dollars without edge lettering. Anything else?

 

Went through a box of pennies today and pulled out 451 copper and 18 wheats: 1920, 1927, 1944, 1944-D, 1945, 1946, 1951-S x 2, 1952-D, 1953-S, 1953, 1956, 1956-D x 2, 1957-D x 3 and 1958-D. Not a bad day...

Finished my 8 boxes of cents for the week. They were all 99.9% 2013-P. Blah. I still managed to get 22 wheats though including a 26 and 36. Here's hoping next week is better.
