What with the declining price of silver offsetting my accumulation, I've finally regained where I was back in February.

Today was ok. I went through 11 penny rolls, only 1942 and 1948 wheats. Only one Canadian cent. I filled in a few slots in my nickel folder with a roll of nickels, and found my first New Mexico National Park quarter in one roll. But my best finding, I went through two dimes rolls and I got a silver 1963! That’s my second silver dime, 1948 and 1964. By the way, I have searched only about 110 dimes.

Box of Nickels...27 pre1960, 1944P War, a 1983 penny (???) and.......this:


a 1897 V-Nickel. That's the 2nd V-Nick that I've found in circulation and beats my earliest nickel found by 11 years. :u*meY:

Edit: ...I just checked and it was also a hole filler in my V-Nick book. It fits in nicely between my 1896 and 1898.

For some reason the 3 on 38 and 39s always looks like a 5 to me. Especially on first glance. Many times I almost pass one up thinking its just another circulated 58 or 59. Happened last night matter of fact.

 

I'm super jealous of those 4 walkers!
