Well April ended on a nice note for me. During lunch I stopped by a Chase near my work that I haven't been to before, and they had $3.00 in halves. I got 1x64' and 1x68' out that...not a bad lunch break.

I've attached a snap shot of my year to date totals below....only 13 silvers away from 200 hundred for the year!!! I'm over half way to my goal which was 300.

    Happy Hunting guys!

    Box of Nickels: 24 pre1960, 2xCND (1985, 1986), 1942P War

    April Totals:
$11,318 searched (34 boxes plus CWR)
    Nickels: 8 War Nickels
    Half Dollars: 13x40%, 1x90%
    Total Ozs: 2.73ozs for April

Dismal Month. My dump bank is limiting how much I can dump ($1000 in halves per week) so my numbers have went down. I'm still ahead of my goal pace though.

    2013 Goal: 365 Silvers
    2013 Day: #120
    2013 Silvers: 155

    Differential: +35

Stop #7, my last stop, Wilkes-Barre, PA. Picked up a box of nickels and a box of pennies.

    Nickels:

    Wars: 45P x 2, 44P, 43S, 42P
Buffs: 17, 35 (the date on the 17 can't be made out with the naked eye and can barely be made out when magnified).

    39, 40 x 12, 40D, 40S x 3, 41 x 16, 41D x 2, 41S x 5, 42, 46 x 9, 47 x 4, 47D x 2, 47S, 48 x 4, 48D x 3, 48S, 49 X 4
    Canadian - 83, 87, 99, 09

    Cents:

    28, 34, 46 x 3, 48, 48, 52D, 57D (there were also a 44 and 45 but they were in such bad shape I didn't bother keeping them)

Definitely looking forward to getting some more boxes the next time I am there.

The 57 looks like someone used a grinder on it and the other like some sort of hit to me.

Final totals for the month of April.
30 boxes of halves yielded 200x40% and 45x90% only 3 skunks out of the 30 boxes.
6 Ben Franklins and one Walker
We had our best box in a year and a half of searching. We found 45 in one box. 29x40% and 16x 1964 Kens.

44 ounces of silver is our best month so far.
Wouldn't you know it yesterdays box to start the month was a skunk.

    Good luck everyone!

Totally amazed you can still find good halves amongst the clad after all these years! Do you look at the face of each coin, or, just scan along the spines of the coins?
