If you just go till you get 1 war, then you'd have 29, which is the date. I think that's pretty lucky!

Well done Tabor!! I surely can't keep up with that pace....I'm still stuck at 97 silvers for the year.

3 boxes of halves today..all skunk:(. That makes 6 skunk halves in a row. My longest skunk streak thus far.

What's the longest skunk streak some of you guys have had?

My largest half dollar skunk was 12 boxes in a row. I thought that Box #13 would be unlucky but, fortunately, it was a great box to end my skunks. I found 17 40% in box #13. Keep going Big Greek...silver is still out there!

The funny part is that I have found more Silver Half's in boxes with Felt Pin Markings all over the coins then the Boxes without, Go Figure. You just never know what that box may have in it untill you have open each & every roll.

A friend of mine inherited a coin collection from his mother. He asked me to come over and help give him an idea of what he had and what it was worth. I was amazed when I showed up! He had a pool table and two card tables FULL of various US/foreign coins/bills/proof sets/silver rounds/bar/etc. We didn't finish but I'm guessing he had $12,000-15,000 worth of coins/bills.

Anyway, I spent about 3 hours helping him inventory his collection and when I left, he told me to take what I wanted and give him a price. I picked up a tube of 1942P war nickels, a tube of silver Roosies, 13 silver Kennedy Halves and about 13 silver Washington quarters. I offered him near melt value for all the coins and he then GREATLY discounted it because of the help I gave him and told me to give him $140! I told him that that wasn't a fair price for him and he said, "It's ok. I appreciate your help." :)

I will probably help him more in the near future and, if I can, I'll buy more from him (at normal value, that is).

Thanks treylxapi, but with Easter tomorrow and me not believing in karma, I'm going to give God credit for the blessings in my life. :) Have a happy Easter everyone.

I was actually gonna finish my message off similar. I don't really believe in karma too much myself and was trying to just say something like when you do good things for people out of the goodness of your heart, good things tend to come back your way.

Enjoy your blessing, and Happy Easter everyone.

Well my regular bank was vault close today. Sucks bc they were holding a box of halfs for me so now I have to wait til Monday. Went to another bank that I recently started an account with to get a new car loan. They seemed confused with my nickel request but finally after asking their bosses I was able to get $200 cwr nickels. A long list of nothing almost but Ill take it. 1944P and a 1995S proof. Was my first proof. Not a great one but I guess Ill keep trying. Going to start getting atleast 2 boxes of nickels a day. Figure I should get a roll of wars every other week. Good luck everyone and happy Easter.
