I got a box of halves today but it was a square BRINKS instead of the "flat" box that they usually have for me, not a good sign. So I got home and opened it up only to find out it had already been searched, the rolls (black and white brinks) were still bank wrapped but whoever got into it cut the paper down the edge and then taped the rolls back together. The only thing worth mentioning is my first gold plated half find.

I don't know what was worse, going through a box I knew had already been searched or knowing every single one was attacked by a utility knife. :rolling:

Probably just searched the edges. Lazy way to do it in my opinion; they were just searching for silver and absolutely nothing else.

I'm working on a Box now and 3/4 of all the half's are plastic coated, WTH is this never seen any thing like it and the 2 silver I have found so far are coated too. Anybody ever see this kind of mess before? OH and i have a gold one like the others posted on here and it is some type of coating too.

2 boxes half's got 1-64 1-68 and a lot of Marks Coins, I mean a lot. They must have missed these, the boxes had more felt pin marks then any box I have had and some type of coating. I would post a pic but I don't think I'll will show up as it is clear all but one that is gold like the ones posted a few post back.

1943 S(War) Dirtiest coin I think I've ever seen, had to scrape a lot of stuff off of it just to get to the mint mark. Would look really nice if it were clean.

Personally, I Look for 38's and especially 39 D and S. Also, 50D. There are a few doubled die years. I have had decent luck finding several 55 D/S. I basically keep any pre 1960. You never know when you may find a rare variety in a common date.
