I have searched 7 boxes of pennies 17500 pennies this week, I am tired and nearly blind. LOL. I found 49 wheats nothing special I also found about a dozen 2009d's per box no p's. Some of 2009 were in worse shap than the wheats i couldn't believe how quick they get that bad. Has anyone found any 2009 nickels in rolls i have only gone through about 20 and have found none. i don't collect nickels but had my nephew over and was letting him start a set he is only 6 and thought that was cool going through them. i am taking a break for a week or so my eyes need the rest. I don't check for rpm's but did not find a single wide AM is that unusual for that many pennies and no errors. No wide AM, no close AM, no doubling, just wondering. Thanks this site is awsome.

Went through my first box of halves today. No silver:(

    Here's what i did get:

    73-s (4)
    76-s
    77-s (3)
    78-s
    79-s
    80-s
    82-s
    84-s
    87-s
    92-s
    93-s
    01-s
    04-s
    05-s
    06-s
    07-s

    About 140 from 2001- (both p & d)

    Also, 2 gold plated (I think) 76
    a painted-in face on a 96
and an 86 Statue of Liberty (I read above that some of you calling it a silver, but I don't think it is)

Unfortunately, as mentioned above, no silver, and I'm thinking to myself, now what the heck do I do with them all?

    What is a "VAM"? Thanks

Wow, that is a heckuva lot of proofs in circulation. The 86 Statue of Liberty half is clad, not silver, but a great find!! What you do with them all is keep or sell the proofs and the SofLiberty, then turn in the rest and start over. :D

A VAM is usually one of the many documented die cracks on a Morgan Dollar named for the initials of the creator of the book on it.

Today, I went to a different branch of one of my banks and they had a full roll of 2009 D Formative and 18 loose ones in AU/UNC shape. I got those, searched 2 rolls of dimes (nothing) and 5 rolls of cents (1941, plus 2 more formatives).
