Just picked up my first bag of coins from a local bank. $1000 worth of dimes. I'll go through them tonight. Depending on how productive this bag will be for me, I may or may not pickup more bags from this bank. We'll see.

I stoped by a kroger with a chase
I asked you got any halfs or big dollar coins and
The teller asked looking for silver, I said nope just a collecter
She said to bad I have a few silvers,I then said oh may I see those, she said yes.
I then said oh these are the years I needed, she then said right really long knowing I was lieing somewhat.

She then popped a silver certificate on the counter

All in all this is what I got from my time in a kroger chase , that really made me feel like I was in a silver porno.

    1884 morgan
    1939 merc
    1963 quarter

    And a silver certificate

After dumping a skunk box of halves, I decided to pick up some pennies (they always make me feel good after a silver skunk, no shortage of copper!). Lately, I've been requesting CWRs because I find that, probably 50% of the time, I get rolls that have anywhere from 1 - 4 extra pennies. So, I did just that and, out of $10, 9 rolls were CWRs with the remaining being BWRs. I started with the CWRs first and pulled a dime out of the first roll. Nothing but pennies in the second roll, then two dimes in the third roll...etc. After getting through all 9 rolls, I had 10 dimes (my best roll had 4 dimes). Oh yeah, and each roll had at least 51 coins so the dimes were effectively free (as were a few pennies). I can only guess that someone let the kids roll up the pennies...any other ideas as to why someone would dump 10 perfectly good dimes?!?

    $1000 Bag of Dimes: 6 Rosies (1946, 1951, 1960, 1962, 1963D, 1964D)
Also found 30 pennies, 1 button, and a strange 1987D dime. It's about twice as thick as a regular dime and looks like plastic. But when I drop it, it's definitely metal. I'll try to get a photo up soon.

Not sure if the bag was a good deal or not. I'm sure that I lost money in the deal since each penny takes 9 cents off the $1000. I'll find out when I dump the dimes on Monday. Overall, it was a fun experience.
