Tough day for me so far today. Picked up my normal 2 boxes of nickels and was supposed to get 4 boxes of pennies. Asked for $200 in dollars but they only had $100. The vault manager forgot to order 4 and only got me 2. I opened the nickel boxes in the car and they were bright shiny 20...13P's. Both friggan boxes. At least now I've moved from solid 2012P boxes to solid 2013P boxes. $1200 out $2300 nickels searched so far this year have been brand new. SUCK. Oh, and the first box of cents I went through only had 9 wheats and 4 canadians. The dollars only gave me a Chester Aurthur.

I feel like I'm the only one finding anything today

Went to chase and the lady said a couple just came in with halves from their fathers house who just passed found 5 40% and 3 ikes 71d 72d and 74

The lady said they had more but was in another tellers drawer and that he would be in tomorrow in the morning

I know where ill be when they open

OK, so here was my day:

First, the head teller at my new bank saved $5.50 in halves for me--

    3 90%, 2 40% (67, 69)

Then, just to top the day off, I picked up a box of nickels. Remember how my last box gave up my first buff?--

4 wars (43P, 43S, 44P, __P-date not readable, but mint mark identifies it as silver :) ), 3 buffs (all dateless), and only around 18 pre-60's, but they included: 2X 1955P, 1951S, AU 1942D, and my first ever 1938, as an ender!

Got a box of nickels coming in tomorrow (weather-dependent). Plus, that same head teller is giving me a v nickel out of her 'collection' since she really has no interest in coins. She is obviously getting some candy tomorrow. :D

3 silver Roosevelts and one 1944 Merc in two boxes of dimes. A 1991-S proof nickel in a box of nickels. And, in change for a cookie, a 1943 Steel Cent! I could not believe it.

Last nights searches of a box of cents produced 10 wheaties, including one nice circulated but not corroded 1943 Steelie. A box of nickels produced the usual 40s and 50s stuff, a 1942-S and one of the coolest things I have found in a roll search in awhile - a 1954 nickel I turned over to see the mintmark - but instead there is a 1953 nickel on the reverse. Someone had skillfully sliced two coins and joined the heads together - and but for the date of the coin and the fact that I save everything pre-1960 I would have just sent it packing back to the bank. It has a very faintly visible seem on the edge where the two halves were joined.
