well box 6 was a skunk. had to rush around today from donateing plasma, dump bank, pickup bank parking lot to search, dump bank, pickup bank, coin shop, antique shop, then olive garden lol. i dump my 6th skunk box and picked up number 7. my son and daughter were helping me in the parking lot search. My oldest which is my daughter at 8 was like hey dad i dont see copper but i cant read the date the coins messed up. 1967, finally a silver. then i found a 69, then she found another 67. so finally i hit silver only problem is i get one she gets two lol. oh well she is happy and i took my plasma money to the coin shop got 5 bens, then the antique shop got a morgan. not much but for giving some blood its not too bad.

No good way to tell, but sometimes you can tell by the way it rings when compared with a known 80% and known 50%.

That's not everything that I've done in the past month or two, and there were a few random rolls that weren't in boxes, one of which yielded a 1915-D wheat cent that filled a hole in one of my Whitman books. I also scored a 1920 cent in a "take-a-penny-leave-a-penny" at a gas station a couple of days ago. I also had a box that had 3 war nickels in it, but I somehow managed to not write the results of that box down. My coin desk is not super organized and I've been going through a lot of coins since I got my tax returns.

I have only sold the once, but I found a guy on craigslist to buy what I had barely below spot. After I sold them to him I went to my LCS and bought 90% halves. Worked out well for me because we did the transaction right down the road from my LCS.

When I went out to banks to buy half dollar rolls yesterday, I came across 5 rolls packaged in the US Mint wrapping. The dates and mint marks are printed on the wrappings:

I have 2001P, 2x2003 P, 2007P and 2007D. I assume that they are all BU since the rolls haven't been opened since the US mint packaged them.

I know that the 2001 isn't a big deal because 2002-present were NIFC. I haven't opened these up but should I try to sell these as is or is there no money is selling US Mint rolled coins? The rolls look like the below picture (stock photo).

Suggestions? What should I do with these?

I live about 40 minutes away from Indy. Which coin store is your LCS? It might be worth a trip for me.

When silver dips like it is now, I've got a guy that pays me 98% of melt for them. I just sold him 12 rolls, and went to another guy and bought 90% for about 2% over melt.
