Real quiet around here this weekend.......

 

Not much to report for me, I take weekends off now that I do 30-40 boxes of halves every week... gotta get me some downtime lol.

 

I have a box of nickels and halves to do but haven't had much time and when I did I didn't have the motivation. Also wanna save them to get me through Presidents' Day.

 

I was thinking the same. I know myself I haven't done any mining because I was too busy this weekend.

Pulled a strange box of halves

First 1 40% 1976S silver/clad
Next, there were a handful of rolls of solid 2010-2012, but all damaged (looked like water).
At least 15 Gold plated '76 halves.
Finally, There were over 20 painted coins. Got a Derek Jeter!! , 2 Lebron (upper deck collectables), A-Rod, Joe Mauer, Barack O, Ronnie R, '04 Tsunami, US armed forces and much more!!!

I know that it isn't your standard fare, and a coin purist would be mad about the "damage", but I think they are really amazing. I just hate to think that this was someone's collection before the storm (Sandy) who had to cash it in.

 

Also got a single roosie from $350 in dimes

 

Really around here I got led zepplin playing full blast lol

I'm kinda dreading doing my nickels I hate CWR in nickels and that's what all 100 dollars are.

 

well outta all the nickels ( about 5 boxes last 2 days) pulled 6 wars, 3 buffs and a bunch of pre 60 that i guess ill try my luck selling. plus i got the 96 nickel i reported earlier that ive still havent got any info on. googled it and it came to here with another guy with no replies also. there has to be something up with it. please help.

 

I'm thinking it is a dryer coin or something. Doesn't look like a legitimate error or greaser, btu that's just me.

 

looked up some dryer coins. seems like the rim would be messed up but its just the wording. idk i guess ill keep ahold of it if all else fails ill throw it at a stripper lol. thanks fade.

 

Well the CWR nickels (100$) was slow but did give up a 43P, 1936 buffalo and a 1976 impaired proof. Not much but better than I expected for CWR for around here. Wish I could say I broke the half dry spell tonight but can't.

 

Nickel Box #8 for the year yielded 2 wars: 43p & 43s

Dime box #10: skunk...still waiting for that first Merc
