Went through a box of halves tonight. Results:
1 x 1962 Franklin (my first from a box, super excited)
    1 x 1964
    5 x 40% silver
    1 x 2007 proof

and finally, at least $25 in each 2001p, 2006, 2007, 2009. I used to get excited when I found anything newer than 2001. Anyone else see this before? Suppose I'll go through and pick out the best ones.

    Box of halves:

    zero silver
    1 1977 s nice find

    6 penny rolls
    7 log cabins
    2 log splitters
    1 1944 orange wheatie

My luck is completely gone from half searching. I have 4 boxes plus an extra $110 in a row without a single silver. :( At least I got one keeper out of this. When I was at the bank, the teller did find one 2009 P dime for me. :)

    40% jackpot

VERY LUCKY at the bank this week...

I normally roll search pennies with my sons, but Thursday the teller said when I was picking up pennies a fellow had dropped off a lot of halves and wanted to know if I wanted some. I said, sure, I'll take two. When I got home, one roll was labeled 1978-1979, and sure enough had only those, the other was 1967-1968, and sure enough twenty of those! I went back to the back yesterday and asked if there were any more labeled pre 1971, and she brought out four more rolls from the vault of 40% and sold 'em to me. So, 100 total 40% halves! I was ecstatic. No 90% rolls, but I shouldn't be greedy...

not really sure if this qualifies as a roll search. Prob not, but while at the laundry mat this morning I got change from the change machine and got a 42d quarter. Being the compulsive coin collector I am I went and got 30 dollars from the ATM and put it all in. Out came a 63d,42,44s,42,52d,44,45d and two bicenn. I then went to the local Shop N Save to cash in my change at the CoinStar machine and went back but nothing else came out.

  15. Since I'm new here, I will share my latest roll results of each denomination, even though it was done about a month ago for the newest to Christmas for the previous.

    Cents- (4 rolls) 2 Wheats, 57 D and 48, one Canadian (1982) One 1961.
Nickels- 1961 was the oldest, one 64 D, most were from the 1988-2006 time period
Dimes- 2008 D. The entire roll! It was good as I needed the date/mintmark for my collection, but I didn't really need that many of them. All uncirculated, I could not bring myself to drop them into the family change jar, so they are all sitting waiting for me to figure out what to do with them.
Quarters- Nothing at all good, every single coin ended up being spent at the local laundramat (which I probably spelled wrong). I think the oldest was a 79, and highly scratched up, not worth saving my any means.

My local banks can't or won't get halves.

I'd sell them one coin per listing on www.moneyauctionz.com if I were you. The reason I wouldn't sell them on ebay is because the fees are too high to make them worth selling them there, especially if you tried selling a set of 49 2008-D dimes. Ebay's only decent for selling unopened rolls of modern coins, whereas on moneyauctionz.com, you can sell them individually and there won't be any fees unless you actually sell them or if you enhance your listing and even than, the listing enhancements (such as bold, highlight, etc), cost less than ebay's placement fees and the only listing fees that are charged are only charged if your coins actually sell.

I got a whole roll of 2008 BU dimes as well. I'll try that.

    My latest rolls:
    roll of dimes - nothing
    8 rolls of cents - 2 50s era wheat, 3-4 log cabins.
Box of half dollars. One gold plated 2008 P half....interesting
    Zero silver
This is my fifth box in a row without a single silver. My first 3 boxes I got 49 silver ones (19 90% and 30 40%) and I thought that this was such an easy way to build a nice collection. Now I'm thinking that finding silver is out of the norm. Are other seeing zero silver as well?

I bought 4 rolls of dimes today from a different branch
    1 1964 silver (I love finding silver)
1 2009 P dime (This is the 5th bank I've found at least one at)

I then went through my friend's business coinage and rolled for him (I love this deal)
one roll of cents, 8 rolls of dimes and 5 rolls of nickels:
    Found:
7 LP2 cents (all in terrible condition except one....didn't keep the other 6)
    1 1940 nickel
    1 1957 nickel
    1 2009 P dime
