I wish I could get "boxes" of halves around here. The banks I have checked with will save the halves that they get in but it can be weeks some times before I get even one or two from them.

Found two error Kennedys. One looks like a die crack to me and the other maybe another huge strike thru although I wouldn't rule out post mint damage. I posted both in the error coins forum under 2 Kennedy Errors.

Let me tell you about my TERRIFIC, OUTSTANDING Numismatic day last Saturday. I've been too busy to get these pics, but finally did it.

First, I found 28 rolls of 2009 P dimes at one of my banks. I have been busy selling them since Saturday. My first sold for just under $50 and just over $50, so when I sold my next for a bit more than that, I may have blew it and sold several 2nd chance rolls for in the 50s. I say that, because they have been selling in the 60s and up to 70 since. I keep thinking the price on these will drop because I have now found these dimes in circulation (as you know), and at 3 different banks in my area. So my goal was to sell as fast as I could. Well, with the four I have up now, even if their price doesn't increase, I've made $1100 since Saturday. So, if I cost myself a little money, OH WELL. I have 7 more to auction as well.

THEN, I picked up a box of halves and went through it. BY FAR, the best box I've ever had. I got the following:
    • Several 1974 D with doubling on America on back (pics later in error forum). Don't know if they are machine doubling or not.
    • A 2003 D
    • A 2002 S proof
    • 16 40% -- 1 69, 6 67s, 5 68s, 3 69s, 1 70 (very low mintage)
    • 12 90% -- 7 64s (many in great shape), 3 Franklins --51, 52, and 63 proof, 2 Walkers 41 and 43
I had NEVER found a walker in my life! What a DAY. Woo HOOO.

Of course, my luck ran out, the box of halfs I searched last night had ZERO keepers. None. I'm still on a high from my Saturday box and dimes though.

Thanks for listening. Oh, and one question.....finding a proof in circulation, obviously it is scratched and not looking as intended, does it carry a premium? or is it just a cool novelty find?
