4 boxes today... they dropped the fee word when I went to pick up... $5 a box. Almost low enough for me to consider it.

    1 - 4 40%, 1 proof.
    2 - 3 40%.
    3 - 1 proof.
    4 - 1 '64, 2 40%.

With numbers like that I would consider it as well. You paid for the fees with Box # 4 and everything else is gravy. The numbers you pull down I would not worry about it so much. If there are other banks out there not chargin fees, up the orders there and go down a little on the orders at the banks trying to charge you fees.

The nice thing about this branch is that it is literally around the corner. I can get there in 2 minutes. It's on the way home from my dump bank. Worked out great for lunches. I just found another PNC to replace their order that is about 10 minutes east. Kind of a hike, but I should be able to get out there easily every Thursday. There's also a WF right across the street from that PNC, so I'll probably have the WF order 4 as well and swing that way on a slightly extended lunch once a week and pick up all 8 in one shot. Does mean I'll have to shuffle things around a bit, but what are ya gonna do? Saves me $20 and gives me an excuse to add 4 more boxes a week...

The nice thing about the $5 fee is they said if I opt to pay it, I can order as many boxes as I want, within reason. So if I do start ordering there again, more than likely I'll have them order a dozen boxes or more per week lol.

    Today's results:

    $5 Pennies: 85 copper, 1957D, 1958D.

    $18 Nickels: 1946P.

$15 Dimes: 1 extra. Guess I can buy that Rolls Royce.

    $230 Quarters: Skunk.

What do tell the bamks when they ask what you do with all those coins? Bet they would get really annoyed if you say you just check for good stuff, then take them to other banks, then come back to buy more.

Was the box sealed? I've gotten boxes that had been searched and rerolled. The person who searched them opened one end and pushed the coins out, searched and repacked the rolls. Then the carrier was smart enough to show the BWR end that was still intact on the side of the box which has the holes to verify the roll count. You don't know until you open the other side of the box which is glued shut and you see the rolls all folded over. I think the carrier is just plain lazy and puts them in a new box and puts new glue and seals them up so they don't have to roll them. How can they even verify there is $500 in the box.

Now, if the box was opened or taped shut, that is a different story. Bring it up with management and ask them if that is what they are paying their employees to do, search coins rather than service customers. Raise some he!!

Sick numbers. I should give you a couple grand and just split the finds with you. There are no boxes like that in my state.

    Box of halves - skunk
I thought I could go straight to my anniversary, but hit such a funk at the top of this month. I think I'm taking a little break. :/
