I found a Barber dime about... what? A month ago. I've found V-Nicks, IHC's, Morgans. No quarters or halves.

Pulled my Baber dime 1911 back on 4/3/2012. I had to make a new column on my spreadsheet with that find.

Just dumped $500 in halves and ordered a box of dimes for next week.

Box of Dimes ($250) - skunk (would have loved to see a barber dime, but nada...still waiting for one)

Well it turns out the bookmark dime was my score for the day: skunk on the first dime bag this week. Two to go!

I'd ditch those bags, dude. I'm pretty sure the machine rejects silver. Test it yourself with a handful of silver dimes. Just buy the bag if it takes the dimes.

I think I mentioned this to him before, he said he gets alot of foreign stuff so the machine does not reject much, although maybe it takes buttons but not silver. I'm sure he can confirm. I never have luck buying bags off machines. One machine I used to dump at never had a coin in the reject tube, it must have taken silver.

I'm so ashamed of my nickel, penny finds lately I haven't been posting them but did find a little cutie today

    Nickels 10 rolls

1941-P, 1953-D, 1953-S, 1957-D and this one 1938-S. Better than nothing. I've noticed on the 1938 nickels I've found in circulationThey are in a lot better shape than the ones in the 40's and 50's
except for the 56 thru 58's
    About 11 of them.

Today's 5 boxes (One bank can't get me the other box today, said it should be available tomorrow?)

    Box 1 - 2 '64's, 15 40%ers (3 enders), 1 proof.
    Box 2 - Skunk, 1 proof.
Box 3 - Skunk, 1 proof. Lots of BU and NIFC.
    Box 4 - Skunk.
    Box 5 - 21 40%ers.

    2 90% and 36 40%... not bad. Week is up to 6 90%ers and 60 40%ers.

I know for a fact that this machine accepts silver - I have pulled several dozen silver dimes from this machine's bags. The problem with this particular branch is that it's primarily a commercial branch so you don't get regular people cashing in their change jars. Another factor is that this bank rolls it's own coin for redistribution to it's customers, so I'm thinking that I've just run the dimes dry for now - commercial customers seem to be picking up and cashing in the same dimes without much turnover. I think I'm going to switch the branch over to quarters, just to try it out for a while. I have no other pickups on Thursday anyway.

Other branches of the same bank sell me their bags as well. They use the same model coin counter, and I pull silver on a much more regular basis from them. These other branches are small consumer branches that deal primarily with smaller accounts, so the dumps of old coin jars happen more often. I've pulled as many as 22 keepers from their bags.

My best finds (in dimes) were from dime bags.....the bank won't sell them to me anymore :( , but I never got skunked on a bag of dimes before.

Fad to , after seeing the results of your last post..... I'm firmly convinced that you're truly a hideous freak of nature, but I love you Bro. Keep living the dream....Keep going. cause you keep the dream of hope alive in the rest of us.
Boys & girls in the October 8 issue of Coin World there is a nice story of a roll search that's worth the time to read especially if you roll search for nicks. (Page 14, Guest Commentary)

    Fridays box of halves. 1 40%, 71-S Proof and 2 state quarters.

Alright so it turns out one of my quasi-dump banks ordered me two boxes this week, and that, combined with the whole "We can only give you one box right now" situation, my plans for tomorrow are all screwed up. Was initially gonna pick up 4 boxes from two banks, which would probably take about 25 minutes... was just gonna stretch my lunch out. Now, I have to get the quasi-dump banks boxes either tomorrow or Saturday morning, then scramble and get the other boxes... I also have 4 boxes to pick up immediately after work, so I need to get to my dump bank, cash in at least 2 bags that I search while working (lol) then run down to this other bank that's probably 20+ minutes away... in rush hour traffic. Ugh. I figured $4k would be enough capital, I guess not, lol.

I remember you saying something about getting silver out of those bags before... but yeah, if they do take silver, you've milked the well dry. I'd let them chill for a month, then come back and see how it is.
