It's getting cold in my neck of the woods at night now, I'm hoping that some people start cashing in their collections for FRN's and it stokes up the silver supply in my area, seems everyone has been pretty dry lately.

So I drove around yesterday, didn't find much, spent time with the Fiancee... Did stumble across about 2 boxes of halves, took them... 6 40%ers. Not bad. Went to dump at a TD that cut me off a while back, head teller that hates me comes out and cuts me off halfway through. Have to scramble to dump at another one before the day is out and didn't get to dump everything I wanted to... So I called the district manager (I have his number because I had this problem at another branch) and he apologized profusely and talked to them for me... call today, talk to manager, they offer me bag service. Sweet, two branches that will now give me bag service.

Thanks for sharing...in case others (including myself) have the same problem. I am shocked she cut you off halfway through. I was dumping at a bank this past weekend and filled a bag quickly because it was already almost full. I had a lot to dump still, and the guy who worked there was nice enough to stay there with me because he knew he would have to change the bags again for me. Sorry to here about your bad experience, but it sounds like it worked out at the end. Good luck on you box tonight!...sounds good so far!

    Dimes:

Box 1 ($250) - 1 silver roosie (1964); not that it is worth mentioning (although, going to anyways), but also a 5 pence

    Box 1 - 2 gold plated
    Box 2 - Skunk
    Box 3 - 8 40%ers (1 ender), 3 gold plated
Box 4 - Skunk... not a single marked coin in the box. Peculiar.
Box 5 - Skunk... same as box 4. Hmm...
    Box 6 - 4 '64's, 10 40%ers (1 ender), 1 proof (ender).

Dear CRH gods, more boxes like #3 and #6, please. Gonna pick up 6 more tomorrow.

1987 half dollars, P and D were only issued in mint sets, not for circulation, like after 2001. Worth a few bucks, don't quit your day job.

When I check quarters/dimes/half dollars, I always take a glance at the edge of the roll for silver. Usually the non-copper stuff I see are foreign coins, sometimes silver. I must have missed it yesterday, but luckily saw it before I spent it: A quarter, Pennsylvania, D (State quarter) Normal in every respect but no copper. Like if they made it out of sheet of nickle or something. Right size, right designs, NOT silver, not magnetic like Canadians. I have six other various State quarters, both P and D which are like this. Odd.

And I am looking at a dollar bill, just a regular one worth a dollar. Someone wrote 'SECTOR 7-G' down on a corner on the back. As a fan of The Simpsons, I appreciate that. As long as it isn't an old bill or silver certificate or something.

I did my first ever $500 box of halves, I got 5 40% kennedys 1 gold plated 1 Bicentennial proof that seemed like it has been in circulation since 1776 haha and a 1988 S that is dirty beyond belief.

I got a box of halves from the bank who has limited me to only 1 box of coins per MONTH. After looking through this box, I might go back and BEG them to up my quota. It was a great box for me.

Sorry for the poor lighting on the picture. Here is what I found from my $500 box of Halves:
    IMG_3119.jpg
Top Row: 1976 5 pesos Bolivian coin (a first for me and it was an Ender! lol)
    2nd Row: 1942 WL, 1952 Franklin, 1963 Franklin
3rd Row: 2 x 1964 Kennedy (one was in GREAT shape)
    4th Row: 1967, 1968 D, 1968 D

    Total: 5x90%, 3x40%, 1 Bolivian Coin

That was the first time I have ever pulled a WL or a Franklin out of BWR. It was so exciting!

I know jack squat about foreign coins. Is this coin worth holding onto?
