September totals: 14 boxes of halves and 7 40%.
Against my better judgement I turned my best source into a dump bank because they want to charge for ordering boxes.

Hey, a silver quarter is pretty darn good! you don't see those too often!

 

I had a few halves toned exactly like that in my last box. Wonder what does that to them...

Today:
$3.50 loose halves: Nothing
$110 CWR halves: Nothing, but there was one extra
$8 CWR nickels: Nothing
$132 BWR nickels: Nothing

 

Wow clorox, disappointing, but at least you have 250 to shell out on this

 

two boxes of pennies:

47 wheats, oldest being a 1909. not a vdb.

and a 98 WAM

 

Well, from a certain point of view I don't But I figure even with the occasional dry spell my CRH bankroll is doing more for me than it would accruing whatever crappy dividend my savings account makes!

And, yeah today was a bit disappointing. Especially on the halves; those CWR's had many of the hallmarks of a decent score. But it just wasn't meant to be -- I'll get 'em next time!

Today's results

Halves: $500 - 1 (40%) 1965, and 5 NFC's

Dimes: $250 - skunk

Pennies: $25 - 6 Wheats

 

Found a customer wrapped roll of dimes under the seat in my car, 1 silver roosie in there. Haha.

 

Found in a roll of pennies at work.

 

I found one just like this in a reject bin a few months back. Very curious, indeed!

 

I have found one with a four leaf clover punched out of it, and one with a smiley face. People do funny things with money..

Mom gave me some change she found while packing for her move - '50 CDN quarter, '52 CDN dime, '57 CDN penny and a '23 French 50 centimes. That was very nice of her! :yes:

$500 CWR dimes - 9 rosies! That's my best $500 batch of dimes so far. The bank forgot to order my 2 boxes for the week so they gathered up a bunch of CWR at the last minute for me instead

 

did u search the other 2 or no?

 

I searched the re-wrapped halves and broke them all out of the wrappers so I would make sure they will not come back to me like that again in a different box because Garda is getting lazy. Essentially it makes me feel like I only had 6 boxes to searche because I was 100% sure those re-wrapped boxes would be skunks.

I'm at $100k + in coins searched this year, mostly halves and $20k dimes. Compared to maybe $60k last year.
