Not going to bother posting weekly results because I haven't done much searching this week and only found about 1.3 ounces.

A few highlights from this week though:

-Finally got a 1944S War Nickel for my album, but it's plated in this shiny metal that's magnetic, and almost resembles chrome. I've actually found another war nickel with this coating before, I think they're from a set that was released a long time ago that was chrome plated for whatever reason. With my 38D from 2 weeks ago, that leaves 3 holes in my Jefferson album: 39D, 50D, and 43D.

I also got another 2000 WAM cent, which is my 4th or 5th this year. While I was cashing out my change I also found a piece of jewelry in the reject tube. It's a small wheel-like charm with about 6 diamonds (they're real) set in it. I plan on taking it to the jeweler in the next few weeks to see if the metal is gold and how much the thing is worth.

Today I also found my first 40% Ike from a teller tray, but since it's Sunday I count it towards my next week's results. I only searched 2 boxes of halves for the past 2-3 weeks so I'm looking forward to hopefully lucking out this week when I up my volume a bit.

Fiancee mentioned my idea of ramping up my volume to her mom and her mom offered to supply the funds to do it in return for a decent interest rate. 10-15 boxes a week, here I come...

Nice, at what rate does the law of diminishing returns kick in? 20 boxes a week after a month or two from the same supplier has to thin out the silver heard. 10-15 seems like a good amount, you'll have to wade through the skunks but have very good chances of comeing across those loaded boxes.

I'm gonna ramp it up as I go, selling 40%ers for more capital, and maybe 90%ers too. If my numbers hold, I should get up to 20 boxes by spring of next year, and from there, I will start dumping my leftovers in another district. Sucks for anybody who searches boxes there, but hey, it is what it is.

How much do you have to find per month to pay back your investor? 10 x 40%ers or something along those lines? Then anything above and beyond that you keep for yourself or sell to make the bigger bank roll? You plan on dumping in bags right and then still with machines? I would dump in bags if it only took a few days to get the credit not 2-4 weeks which is ridiculous.

I explained it will work like a CD, so I get the money to use, locked in, for a period of time, and will pay the interest in either monthly, quarterly, bi-yearly or yearly installments. Knowing her, she'll probably end up telling me to keep the interest and buy my Fiancee something nice. But the interest is like $40/month (10%) so that's what? 8 40%ers or so?

Yeah, basically, I'm gonna sell all the 40% silver, which should cover my gas, bag, and interest expenses. All costs will be paid out of that profit, and the remaining profit will go into the capital used to buy boxes. I'll be using bags with Wells Fargo and Susquehanna bank.

The 90% silver will be held in a separate stash from my personal stash and just... held, ideally.

My hopes are after I can prove that it works and I'm providing her with good returns, she'll up her investment, or her husband will want in. My dad said he'll throw some in next year too... Ideally, I'd be running through 40+ boxes a week, but that will require what? $20k in capital. Maybe in 3-4 years.

I'd be real happy if we were still doing this in 3-4 years time. As longs as they don't start charging me fees and people still keep on cashing in silver I'm still going to hunt. I'd like to be able to put a nice down payment on a new used car. Something RELIABLE so I can make my pick-ups and dumps and not worry about breaking down.

I guess if I ever get in a position where I need to increase my bank roll this is a good shell on how to do it. The returns are better than anything you'll get from a bank and less risky than the stock market. 40 boxes a week is like Tnet numbers...ha ha ha

There will always be banks willing to order boxes... But I expect order numbers to get limited sometime in the next couple years, which will usher in the death of volume hunting, so I plan to do as much volume as long as I can, and as long as I have a good place to dump. I think my bankroll should easily hit $10k by spring as long as another investor comes aboard, and if my dad gets in on it after deciding not to buy another car (haha), that would put me around $15k in capital.

Picked up my regular two boxes of dimes at the credit union today - picked out a '64 roosie ender looking up at me through the window holes in the box! It's always nice to know you have one waiting for you!

First time posting to this site: I’ve been collecting coins off and on since I was a toddler but had my entire collection stolen by the moving vanline many moons ago. Didn’t realize the theft for years afterward.
Never realized there was a site that allowed one boast of their findings. Have enjoyed reading of all your finds! To UNC Walker: Man! You take the cake! You must have one **** of a system set up in order to bring in your type of hauls! What I wouldn’t give to ‘find’ a Peace Dollar! $1.00 I suppose.
I mostly look to fill books, find silver, foreign coins and copper and various oddities.
    So far this month:
    2 boxes pennies: 7-wheats.
1 box dimes: skunk. Usually don’t hunt for dimes but thought I’d give it a whirl. Won’t do that again.
Box #1 halves: 2 proofs (scratched)
    Box #2 halves: 1-40%, 1 scratched proof
    $100 CWR halves: skunk
$180 of $2 bills that the bank mentioned they had: 4- 1976 Decided to hold these but will probably spend them if I were to find an older bill.
Best I’ve ever done with a box of halves was 18 coins with a couple of commemoratives: 1991 WWII and 1986 Statue of Liberty. I average about 3 finds a box.
One of my banks decided to charge me for my box orders so I’ve decided to close my account! Can they do that? I was only ordering about 1 box per week.
Oh, doesn’t everyone hate receiving the halves that the teller says she has in her tray after you’ve already seen that they aren’t keepers?

Have you put together a quarter album, Darchangel? I still get about a box worth of quarter rolls (usually BWRs) every week, and even though silver quarter finds are pitiful, putting together both a state quarter and an ATB album has made searching quarters feel a lot more worthwhile.

Had a pretty good day today with rolls at work. 1954 quarter EF/AU with great toning, 1940 nickel, 1949 nickel, 1916d wheat, 1919,1926,1939,1939d,1940,1941,1941d,1942,1955,1958,1958,1958d wheats. All rolls were the clear plastic kind we don't get any customer rolls.
