$100 in rolls from a branch I found a nice Mercury dime-2nd skunk in a row, time to take a break from that.
box of pennies: Weird--some rolls uncirculated but with one copper canadian or two wheat pennies. Not as many wheats as I thought since there were quite a few new rolls mixed in with circulated rolls.

I'm curious to know if people are still getting worthy scores off bank ordered boxes.

I ask this because I've started I'm noticing a very low find % off ordered boxes. But when I canvas 30+ banks getting the odd roll they may have I've gotten far better results. Also this is when I'd find multiple silver coins per roll.

The problem with this is it requires 200+ mile roadtrips and at least a day spend searching making the find almost not worth it.

Last 3 boxes I've gone through I've found a large number of halves marked by a dot over the "E" on liberty. So I'm starting to question this entire endeavor.

Last week and this weeks results:
Last: 2 boxes of halves 1st 3/90%, 2nd 3/40%. $340 of CWR change. quarters and dimes - skunk. Nickels 1938 DDR and 1 war 1945P - I wish the 1939 was in better in shape. Pennies were about 6 wheats.
    This: 2 boxes of halves: 1st 1/90%, 2nd 2/40%. 2 boxes of dimes - skunk.

So I went into one of the banks I usually hit up on the weekends, just to get a few rolls of nickels and dimes. They almost never have halves but I ask every week, but today as soon as I walked in the teller recognized me and told me they've been holding halves for me for a few days.

The teller pulled out 5 rolls, and as I'm handing her the 50 bucks I notice that "1967" and "1968" is written in pencil on some of the wrappers. I started to get giddy but kept my composure and left with my rolls.

I open the car and start opening and BAM... solid silver, except for 4 clads:

In total there were 78x 40%ers, and 18x 90%ers, or 18.0468 ozt. I'm stoked! I still have a bunch of rolls to go through but today's find makes this my best day/week/month for CRH this year. Yay!

And cuz it's Saturday, my weekly results:

    Quarters ($470 searched): Wash x4
    Dimes ($2005 searched): Roosie x16, Merc x2, 1907 Barber
    Nickels ($506 searched): War x2, 1903 V Nickel, 1976 Proof
    Pennies ($29 searched): Wheat x24
    Halves ($2768 searched): 90% x18, 40% x85
And 142 Ikes, with no rare die varieties :(

This week was absolutely killer. 21.2916 ozt, my best week by far by several orders of magnitude, and as I said it means that July will be my best month of the year so far. And to top it all off, it was a really nice week on quarters and dimes as well. Lots of neat finds this week, including the aforementioned (ugly as sin) Barber Dime and V Nickels, as well as my oldest wheat cent found to date, a 1909 (not a VDB). I filled 2 more holes in my silver roosie album (just 8 more!) and I also got my first Acadia quarter this week (a P, I'm still missing Chaco Culture D and I think 1 more).

    Foreign: 92c Canada (including a 1967 commem cent), 5c Euro, 50p Colombia, 5c Bermuda, 1p Ireland, 5p Ecuador, 6p UK, 1fr France, 25c Bahamas, 10c Panama, and 1c Caymans

I am just waiting for the day when I happen to walk into a bank soon enough after some genius deposits a few rolls of pure silver. I know my day is coming! Nice score!

    Today's results:

    $3 Pennies: 18 copper, and a wheat, 1952S.
$10 Nickles: 1953D, and there was a dime in one of the rolls, not silver.
    $15 Dimes: Skunk.
    $330 Quarters: Skunk.
$3 Half Dollars: Skunk. My banks don't get half dollars much, and the teller who said she was expecting some maybe, and would save them for me went on vacation.
$53 Dollars, loose. Not Ikes. Got a Fillmore P, Monroe P, and a Polk P hole fillers.

So you got a gold plated no cents? That's pretty cool.

I know the story of gold-plating the 1883 Centless nickles, to pass them off as five dollar gold pieces. I just wonder how often it actually happened, and how often it actually worked.

Got back from the beach vacation today. There were at least 15 banks I stopped at near our hotel, all of them had no halves at all... except for one bank that had one loose 1967 half :)!
