    Dump Bank Score

Dumped $450 in Q's and D's and only came out $0.30 short. That in itself is a winner.

The girls here are nice and now they are going to get a treat. I deposited my ticket and asked for halves. One teller speakes up and she has $4 worth and I see her move Ikes off the halves to get them out of the tray. I then tell her I'll take the big dollar coins too if she will sell them to me. She brings over the $4 in halves and $4 in big dollars, two other tellers each have $1 in big dollars for $10 total loose coins.

The halves were skunk...and the Ikes, this is my first.

I hope this continue for the month of July, I need to make up for June in a big way. Too bad banks are closed tomorrow and close early today. I guess I have completed another of my goals of finding a silver dollar, but I need to revise that goal to finding a 90% silver dollar.

Nice score Merc! I'm going to hit up more teller trays this month for halves and Ikes in hopes to boost my silver finds to search amount ratio.

My bad luck continues with cents. Only three wheats! And those came during the last few rolls. I did get a 40% from the teller tray when I went to get a box a nickels. At least the day wasn't totally shot.

    Yesterday:
$20 CWR halves: Three '64, six 40%, and the strangest half I've ever seen. It looks exactly like an everyday 2000 D half, with reeding on the edge and made out of the normal copper-nickel sandwich, but it's about two millimeters smaller in diameter -- even smaller than a silver Canadian half. Doesn't sound like much but it's completely noticeable. I'll get around to posting pictures eventually.
    $11 loose halves: Nothing
    $4 loose Ikes: Nothing
    $40 Ikes in envelopes (CWE's?): A 1974 S silver proof!
    $15 CWR dimes: Nothing
    $500 BWR dimes: Nothing
    $104 BWR nickels: Nothing
$40 CWR nickels: One war nickel

I was a little too ambitious with the nickels and dimes, didn't finish up until 1 A.M. And the muscles in my hands were shot, I could hardly pick up a coin near the end. You guys that have access to counters don't know how lucky you are!

Dunno why the beginning of a month always seems to be slow...

For me that would be a good box, I'd be doing backflips if I could get 1 per box. Been 3 months without a 90% half dollar. $20k at least.
Then again I spend $5 on 5 Ikes and get a silver Ike...weird.

Maybe time to change up the strategy? Switch pickup banks?

How many Ikes do you think you searched before you found the silver one? I'd say I've gone through about 700, which is pretty darn good on a per-coin basis. If only I could find a reliable source for bags or rolls of them!

Searched $10, 20 rolls of pennies and found 3 wheats. Not the best finds, but I'll still take it.

First roll I opened today had a 1919-D Wheatie. And considering all they had to give me was 38 rolls that were CW by some older guy that dropped them on them this morning, I'm thinking this might get good :D

I've tried all the suppliers I just must be going through a bunch of dumps right now. It's been 3 months of this and I know some heavy hitters are dumping in the supply. Trying to do more CWR and go out of state.
Only been through a couple hundred in Ike's so I'm pretty lucky. Typically there is only a handful at the bank when they are available.

My nickel box yesterday had zero silver, but a nickel struck on a clipped planchet http://www.cointalk.com/t209219/

Today, I picked up $5 in halves from teller trays and got 2 40%ers, then I picked up two boxes of dimes and one box of nickels to search over the holiday. First box of dimes was a skunk and the 2nd one is all 2012.....arrrrrrrggggggggg!!!!

Well, at least I can do the nickel box....

Box of dimes yielded '61 and '64 roosies. The box started hot with both of these coming within the first 10 rolls, but it cooled off quick.

I wanted to pick up a second dime box today but we had a storm last night that knocked down about a dozen trees in my yard and I had to get back to cutting.

Nothing much again, but here goes

    8 rolls of nickels
    4 rolls of pennies

1 1974 Canadian Quarter from the magnetic strip in the coin counter
    44 95% copper pennies
    no wheaties
    1947-P, 1952-D, 2 1954-D's (that makes 2 rolls plus 10 of those I have found), 1957-D, 1958-D (4 + rolls of these) nickels

Hey man, I feel your pain. It definitely feels like it only takes a few searchers competing with you to really put a damper on your silver finds, and around here there are tons. Just gotta stay positive... or at least that's what I tell myself lol
