I have been following this forum for a couple of years now and enjoying reading about everyone's results. They keep me plugging along even though it seems my hunting has been drying up horribly lately.

Thankfully the other day when I was picking up a box of halves my favorite teller mentioned she had 2 rolls of dollars and 2 rolls of halves that had been deposited, so I took those as well. While the box was a big fat zero as has been typical lately. The 2 customer rolls had 2 Franklins, 4 40%, and 3 90%. Not the greatest haul of my life, but enough to put a little fire back in my belly. The 1 of the dollar rolls had 20 almost uncirculated 1972 Eisenhowers in there. Anyone think this roll is worth either hanging onto or selling on ebay, or should I just dump it for more opportunities.

Anyways, I have enjoyed this forum for a while and I am glad I finally got around to joining you fellow hunters with depressing stories of skunks, but more importantly amazing stories of success!

The only way I'd be able to do 10 boxes a week is if I could get 5+ banks to order me 1-2 boxes a week each, which is a stretch.

Right now I have 4 pickup banks for halves, and I order one box from each every 2 weeks (so I get 2 boxes a week total) to avoid wearing out my welcome at any of them. I suppose I could get one or two of them to order me one box a week so I could get 3-4 boxes a week sometimes instead of 2, but then I'd run into the problem of disposing of all those halves. IMO I'd probably have a bigger problem dumping 10 boxes a week than finding banks willing to order them.

Still, 10 boxes of halves a week for an individual is crazy. Anything over 4 boxes of halves per week seems excessive, by my standards.

My first two boxes of halves

    Box 1: 1 '64, 5 40%, 5 NIFCs, and a 2009 Half dollar from Panama

Box 2: Skunk had somebodys marker coins in it, a blue or pink X on a lot of the coins

Use the above suggested link to look for type 2s.

And where in Michigan are you?

Yeah that's him. He must be starting something new with the rim markings. Probably had about 100 of his in this box. I'm not that far from you so I'm sure we're feeding from the same supply.

He want's to find everything and frustrate other people searching. He's going to have to do better than that. Like you said he's just stupid. I'm sure we'll keep seeing them. I'm in Delaware.

Went to pick up a box of dimes, they were busy and did not have time to go into the vault. I told them I could come back tomorrow, but I would like 2 boxes. They said they would have them waiting for me...a little something to look forward to.

I remember I asked you before, but where at in DE?

I just had a pretty cool box of halves, nothing mind-blowing, but my oldest silver coin I've found yet, an 1855 One Florin. .925 silver, but pretty worn. Also had a 40%'er and a WLH. The dix centimes is an 1861K, worth like $5 or so from what I can see.
