Makes me wonder where the rest of the proofs in the set ran off to. IIRC, the half, quarter, and dime proofs should be 90% silver.

half dollar box today from Wells fargo

found 10 40%er's and 1 x 90%er, the best find was a 1976 S (not silver:rolling but still a neat find, it has a small bump on the neck.. but hey itwill still look nice in the collection.

Also found a one that has a gold tint on the entire coin.. any ideas what or why?

nice box makes you wonder what was in the other half. might be gold plated I've found them before.

I searched 10 rolls of pennies, 3 rolls of dimes, and 3 rolls of nickels. My finds:

1 canadian penny 1969
1 wheat 1942
8 Log Cabins (all Philly still, lol)
3 funny looking pennies I'll post in error coins forum
1 more 2009 P Dime
and
1 90% 1961 Roosevelt dime.

I was wondering for those who are searching half dollars and finding silver ones, are they shotgun rolls or are they less likely in those? I've only found a couple 40% ones in one box that were wrapped in N.F. String and Son Inc. paper. I guess my question would be do their machines that wrap these coins discriminate against silver due to it being slightly heavier? Thanks.

2009 cents

I found 2 of the Indiana Lincolns today in change (D), the first 2009 coins I have found yet. Are others finding these as well ? Where are all the cabin cents?

 

i'm getting on avg 2-5 cabin p's a box here in S. Jersey

No rolls today, momma forgot to take the rolls to the bank, and we couldn't do a switcharoo, gotta wait till' next week

 

I'm finding more and more log cabins in rolls, a little less than 1 per roll.

 

Shoot, I found none in some rolls, 6 in some rolls...Very unbalanced, but in the end you know the results... 65, GEESH!!!!

The teller was happy to see me. She said someone came in with these and $50 worth of 2's right after I left early last week and saved them for me!

 

Always good to have a teller who loves ya'!

 

Besides these, check all '72 and 72-Ds for DDOs (you can see it immediately with your 10X on LIBERTY and on IGWT, not so much on that date).
