Well I don't "roll hunt" in the traditional sense, but I do grab a few rolls of pennies from a friend's work and a few days ago was my lucky day. Now nothing incredible was found, but I was happy as a clam. I bought $2 (4 rolls) of pennies as it was all he could spare. The first roll I opened was all Copper. Half of them were wheaties ranging in dates and there was one 1905 Indian Head. The second roll I opened was exactly the same, but the Indian Head was a 1895. The other two rolls were half wheat half pre 81 pennies. All in all a great, buy for $2. :D

2 boxes of nicks, 2 wars. Did find this one, though... believe it or not, it's not an upgrade for my dansco.

Does anyone know if all "proof" Ike's are 40 %silver? I was going through my last find and found two that are "s" but weighed them and they are not silver, but are shiny and proof like. Thanks!

They are not. CN proofs were minted for years '73 - '78, IIRC.

Merc - I found a '39 Jefferson with deep golden/bronze toning and the coin itself looks MS. I should post some photos.

Visited my brother down in PA and he had a bag left that he had picked up last week - I took it home to search and found a total of 15.

    2x90% and 13x 40%

Let me see if I can get a photo of the jefferson - it looks so nice - I was thinking AT but I really don't know why I think that. It came out of a roll

Golden/bronze toning is very typical for older Jeffy's that were in albums as I'd bet yours was.

I am getting a lot of skunk rolls of dimes from big banks but ordered a box. Should I bother with a big bank box? I did well with a credit union box but havent' done so hot with these rolls.

New to this stuff still but absolutley love sorting through rolls of Pennies. It's probably because most of the time I find coins to fill in gaps because I'm still new and have a small collection. but I did recently find these. I know it's not anything cool or fancy, but I really enjoyed finding them.

I finally took the coin outside and this was the best shot I could get. From $200 BWR dimes - '79 S roosie. It was funny when I looked at it thru my glass - took me 30 secs to realize it was an "S" and not an "8"! :p From what I read about it, this would be a Type 2 clear, right? It looks so beautiful IRL.

    It had been soooooooo long....

....since I had a really good score.

I stopped at two banks. Bank one had 1 Half (clad), so I picked up a couple of rolls of dimes, nothing.

Bank two. They said they had several rolls of halves. After waiting 5 minutes, they came back from the vault and said they were sold yesterday. :( So, I decided to go to the motor bank for this branch, which is not connected to the main lobby. She had $61.50 in halves. The loose were nothing. One roll was a brinks BWR opened then taped back up. Skunk, of course. The next 4 CWR were skunks. Then

    BAM!

    The last CWR was solid 40%ers. :D :) :D
