Turned out he had 6 boxes.....$150 worth of pennies his father had rolled and put away. I asked how much, and was able to purchase all 6 boxes for only $20.00 over face....he said he just wanted to get rid of them. When I got home, I looked a little closer. Sure enough, they were all dated. The earliest I pulled out was 1963, the latest about 1988. There are many in the mid 60's and early 70's. They are all circulated...but who knows what treasures might lurk in these penny rolls that haven't seen the light of day in some 20-45 years! I guess I have my work cut out for me.....it's a tough and dirty job, but someone has to do it!!
