Hello, Back in late 60's, I received a roll (plastic container) of 50 1964 plain Lincoln pennies. I never really looked at them until a few days ago, I pulled them out and realized that every penny has some sort of error or defect. Are these coins collectible? Do they have any higher value then a normal 1964 penny. layman's attempt to describe the error or defect. 1. All of the errors seem to be on the face of the pennies. In my limited knowledge, I see no problems with the back. 2. Most of the errors are that the stamp on the face is off center toward the top "We" is right on the edge of the coin, with a thicker ridge on the bottom of the coin. This also makes the coin thinner at the top. 3. A few of the coins have the face stamp to the left. making the "L" in liberty right on the edge of the coin. 4. Some of the face stamps have no raised ridge around the outer edge. Smooth all the way to the edge of the coin. 5. Some of them appear that the metal is defective, hair line cracks. Stains in the metal, not tarnish. 6. The top of the E and R in Liberty on one coin looks defective, like a thin layer has flaked off. 7. Some appear to have dents in them. Looking forward to your comments. kdc
