I've been trying to be nice but some Edited: Perhaps you didn't believe me. are intentionally trying to make me feel worthless - guest of my world
To me it does too but to a collector they're priceless sort of like the 1943 copper penny...and I'm in possession of the test coins that should have been destroyed I'm not strong buyer of the 1943 copper cents either. There is one comming up in the Summer FUN auction. The collector might be rarer than the coin with respect these test mark coins. If they really are all the rare and valuable, the coin doctors will be making a lot more them for you. Trust me, some of these guys are good at what they do.
Maybe some people should keep their comments/thoughts to themselves instead of putting others down...do you monitor control that when it comes to them putting down unknowing new members who are just here trying to learn??? Maybe instead of them responding back with comments like " that's not worth anything" or "it's nothing special or worth keeping" about stuff they don't know about maybe they should just keep their mouths shut and just write back "nice" or "cool" or even "tell me more about it" ,,, don't you think so? Jim
Sometiems it's better to listen to those of us who have studied coins and the market for 60 years instead making the assumption that everyone is against you.
Just allow me to handle this minor dilemma... I'm not here to insult the innocent good hearted people and I'm not here to cause problems or get others involved in the drama.. I'm fixing things/bullies
How would you know? You don't even know me or the situation why would you just jump into the mix? *Facepalm
Some do naturally, Some are pure honest and says what it is, and many times, "No, it is not " is the only answer. If the manner and vocabulary violates the rules they will hear about it. Since most newcomers want to know rarity and value and could care less about the coin itself, they do not want anything more and it is almost always not what they heard on Youtube, so they get upset. The forum tries to educate as much as possible, newcomers to numismatics, but many get extremely defensive and try to twist any answer towards their side and cleanup has to occur. Jim
