Rim error?

    I'm confused because it says "rim error"...?

    What's on his forehead? It appears to be some gunk.

    You know that these are zinc plated iron and any pits that might develop can allow the iron to rust. That's kind of like what it looks like.

    Yes, I'm assuming you mean the dark spot. It's either gunk or rust but either way, it's nothing out of the ordinary, just some environmental damage.

    I think when he says "rim error?" he means the uneven thickness caused by a slight misaligned die.
