I don't know what's up with NGC and their "ineligible type" stuff lately. ALL THREE of my coins on my last submission came back that way. Three out of three. :banghead::mad::yack: Granted, these were all medieval hammered coins, so a bit esoteric, but they put a Friedberg number on the Gelderland florin, so they obviously knew what it was. Both that and the other gold piece had been cracked out of PCGS "details" slabs. Their giving "ineligible type" for a type they've already slabbed before and have census data on is not only bizarre, but it would make me angry, too. Then again, my tolerance for NGC is at a rather low point right now, so take some of the grumbling with a grain of salt. I send all of my non-ancient stuff to PCGS. And get TrueView images with the grading. Of course that hasn't been a totally frustration-free exercise, either (with TPGs, it never is), but I am a confessed "drinker of the Kool-Aid" when it comes to PCGS. I'll use NGC for Ancients. I'm pretty much done using them for everything else (maybe not forever, but at least for the foreseeable future).
