Great coins, everybody. Unfortunately, I don't think I have anything that qualifies here. I distinctly remember you posting about buying a silver coin once. I'm thinking a denarius, maybe? It stuck out to me at the time because I know you are primarily into FDC / gem grade gold coins.
Yes, I have started into AR Roman denari But, I also have many Silver Proof coins in sets/ also the Conservation wildlife series 1974-79. I have some Russian proof platinum/ paladium coins too. John
Ah, I see. It's not that you have no silver coins, just no silver coins of "last of their line" rulers? It's a little surprising you don't have one single Nero, Domitian, or Severus Alexander denarius.
Thanks to Paul M I will post these... Severan Dynasties last Emperor...Severus Alexander 222-35AD Severus Alexander became Emperor after the murder of Elagalabus in 222AD. He was a good Emperor throughout his reign, he conducted successfull campaigns vs the Sasanians in the East, but decided to use diplomacy/ bribery to avoid War with the Germans. This caused resentment in the Army. In 235AD, he was murdered by a group of soldiers, Maximinus Thrax probably organized this plot.
