    Still ain't satisfied........Maybe I should be shooting higher off the coin? Will have to try that next.

    Unfortunately, I don't have one of these coins to play with, so I'll have you do something that sounds absurd, but might work. Take a white piece of paper and cut or tear a hole in it so that you can cram it onto the end of the camera lens. Point the lights up at the camera, not at the coin. You'll get very diffuse, light coming from very close to the lens. Use ISO 200 and f/8, since you're dealing with reflected light and want some depth of field.

    While far from perfect, I think the following photogs (employing the suggestions that @messydesk made in the above post) are an improvement over my prior shots. The task remains at hand and I hope to make further improvements in the future.....

    This is as far as I got taking pictures of mine. Once I saw how beat up the rim was, I quit trying to take pics of the coin. Glad it was a freebie.:hilarious:

    Looks good to me Greenie! Of course, I've never met a proof coin I didn't like...I'm seeing Monticello, with a glass of Limoncello...looking goooooood! :D
