That is probably the case. When I first got the 'back order' I went to the threads on CT and noticed others had received the same message before that time. I checked off and on and it didn't seem to change, but I let the charge hang
Some are now selling for under $100 again: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-March-...221?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3aab46dd15
Aw, that's a shame. They're probably not educated or just not fully-recruited as yet into the cult. They need to spend more time in these coin forums, listen to these people going on and on who want to flip these for the big bucks. It's like transduction therapy. I believe that's what they're missing. I may be wrong. I believe they need some of that. Before it's too late.
If you don't trust the BINS, the latest completed auctions today are hovering just north of $100. Here is the latest: http://www.ebay.com/itm/AVAILABLE-O...097?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item463b56c951

Nobody would be happier than me to see these sets skyrocket in value, but let's face it folks....there is no way these sets will ever give a return the way the 25th anniversary eagles did.
Maybe, but they are the same at this time. On eBay the 25th set in OGP is selling for double issue price, so is the MoD set. Granted these are probably problem sets.
My set arrived today. I'm very happy with the purchase. I took a chance on an ebay auction and got a really decent set. The only blemish I noticed was a tiny white speck by the upper portion of the L on obverse of the regular proof dime. The others had no noticeable spots or blemishes. Paperwork was stiff like it had never been opened. Very attractive set and packaging.
But how many velvets had to give their lives to make that fancy clamshell case? Didn't think about that, did you?
Lol, why should they open it? That defeats the whole purpose! Do you know why these dimes are going to be the coins of the century? They're going to be the coins of the century because opportunists like that need us to think they're going to be the coins of the century. Look at how their little hearts flutter when the market swings just a few dollars. When they sell them out, they'll no longer be the coins of the century, you watch and see.
I don't care if they're the coin set of the century or not. I bought a set because I liked it and I leaned towards the side that they may not be getting much cheaper. Otherwise I would've waited. Could be wrong. Time will tell. Realistically what's available is far less than 75k sets if you want one. So many are getting broken up and many people have multiples. If 50k individual people wanted one theres probably some of that group that couldnt get one.
You're a coin collector. I know why you bought it. I'm talking about why they bought it, lol. You're going to open the box, aren't you? There you go, there's the difference.
No, they will not.... Cleared $25k profit on those coins.... Thank you coin collector. And, I still have 5 sets left (2 complete 70's,1 hodge podge of 70/69, and 2 69's) And of course, the highly collectable FIRST RELEASE edition.
