I received my sets today- visual inspection (no loupe) reveals no defect! USMint appear to have done a great job on these!
Seriously, before the new "monster red book" came out, I would have guessed that 8 70's out of 30 coins was pretty snazzy. But when I look at the book's charted figures on a bunch of recent issues with average grades around 69.5, well, that seems to indicate 70 rates near 50%. Leads me to wonder. Is this issue below the typical standards, or do the graders (graters?) actually know who the senders are and "tweak" accordingly?
Oh Eddie, baby, sweetie, can I fix you up or can I fix you up? My Chairman is a Sicilian. We know a guy who knows a guy.... Capische? But one day I will come to you for a favor...
Great, another traditional-usage fanboy. Actually, I guess I'm dating myself if I don't say "fanboi".
I know that this is on the high end but we hit $132.00 for a set on Ebay. This set is headed for the $250 - $300 range http://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-March-...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
this guy sold 25 sets at $129 each- I'd say that the current price is steady at $130- that is their current market value http://www.ebay.com/itm/IN-HAND-201...182?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35e993a586
up to 139 per set- this seller sold 28 sets at $139.84. this set is exploding upward- it is amazing to watch http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-Coin-Set-...449?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43dac0b231
but but but how can this be? I thought these were just modern junk. I hope this is a wake up call for a lot of people here.
Yep, these dimes may be an even bigger winner once the supply dries up. Since the Roosy is such an old series, many "classic only collectors" want these dimes.
