And I can't find any "thick dash under 8" for the 1885-O. SO perhaps the 8 is die damage. If it is , then I would think VAM-23. If not then the closest would be VAM-16, but it is a far date, and this doesn't appear to be so. Maybe you will just have to pay to have them attribute it inhand.
