Needed to take photos of the fragile patina coin before I sealed it away forever in its 2x2, then I thought I should reshoot a few other coins I had. Here are new photos of my first-ever two ancient coins (I bought them at the same time).

Gallienus, Rome mint (new photos are top; old are bottom)

Feel free to post your first coin(s) and/or any recent reshoots.

Better images. I'm a terrible photographer, but these look good to me.

Thanks bing! The old photos were from when I was just starting to photograph coins, so I feel I've come a long way.

you know, i've been thinking about reshooting several of my old coins. i've edited and touched up many, but some deserve a second go. i'll be on the wagon for a month, after i posted my most recent coins i think i'll reshoot a few myself.

so VK, what is different about how you photographed them? do you have better equipment now? more skill at taking picks or editing?
